Because this professor is new, he sometimes gets confused on his own agendas and what he's telling us to do. He does not teach anything worth learning. Generally, his class is an easy A. It's totally okay if you don't go to his classes and just finish the assignments/essays required from you. However, he does take attendance.

Dawn is a really easy teacher in general...she tries really hard to be your friend and not only just a prof. She grades pretty easily and likes to try to keep her class interesting. There's not really much homework except essays and the readings (but you don't have to do them cause she'll cover them in class). Just be sure you're prepared to edit your paper cause she's big on that. overall...she's good and she's easy.

Ms. Janke is a great teacher. It's refreshing to have an approachable, genuinely nice professor. She doesn't have tests on her curriculum, only essays, which I liked. Very friendly, warm personality.

I absolutely loved her! Shes really funny and shes really down to earth. She presents all of the essays done in class extremely well, and she is always looking for ways to help students with their papers. You only have 4 papers in the class, and no tests. If you have the chance, definitely take her class.

She's very helpful if you go into office hours. English is not one of my best skills and I feel that my writing did improve a lot throughout the quarter and I'm really grateful to have had her for English 134. However, I did feel she graded harshly on the 10 page Research paper when I went to her office multiple times and really did put in an extreme amount of effort. She was helpful for most essays, not so much the last one. The one that's worth the most and takes the most time. I'd recommend taking her definitely as I still improved a lot, just a little bummed I feel I deserved a better grade.

Dawn is truly a great professor. She's extremely down-to-earth and personal with her students. She is a very tough grader, but she backs that up by clearly explaining everything she expects of you, and does her absolute best to make sure you get it. In the end, if you're not a great writer, your grade depends on how well you interact with her. She WILL help you if you struggle. Classes are usually engaging, and she gets everyone involved. Like someone else said, though, be respectful; she always knows what's going on in the room and will get upset quickly if people are being rude. Overall, she's amazing, and you will come out of the class a better writer.

Lovely woman! Intelligent, understanding, and encouraging. Very in tune with whats going on in the classroom so make sure you are respectful at all times. This was a really fun class I got a lot out of with very little tedious work. My only complaint would be that she often forgets to send the readings for the week--but hey--less work for us, right? English majors, definitely take this class for one of your 300 electives, not stressful at all and your guaranteed a job at the writing center after!

Fine teacher, but a little dry in the presentation. I wouldnt suggest having her at 8:00 in the morning, might be difficult staying awake.
