BEWARE! This is the WORST class at this campus and this is the worst professor I have ever had. I am normally and A student. I go to class, and study but this guy made things un-necessarily difficult. His powerpoints are horrible and way too wordy. His lectures are confusing. His test questions are not written well and are confusing. Take my advice, take another professor for this class. He even said on the first day of class he was going to purposely make the class harder to weed out people. Come on, its a G.E. you don't do that for a G.E. This has been by far my worst experience at cal poly. This guy should be taught how to teach.

He does not understand Business and it makes me wonder why the Econ dept is in the Business school ... my Dad teaches at Poly and told me that they belong in the Liberal Arts Dept but they all want to teach in Bus to make more money. This guy is phony and is never in his office. His course is not relevant to the real world and I am very sad because he promised us alot more. Ready to change my major and this whole department seems irrelevant. I wish I had gone to UC SB.

This professor assigns preclass homework before every class and post class homework 3-4 times per quarter. The preclass homework is barely graded so as long as you give a good attempt you will get credit for it. Post class credit is graded more strictly and requires you to spend more time on it. He gives one midterm and a final. Both tests require you to know what is happening and how to do some more advanced math however if you do better on the final than you do on the midterm he will drop your midterm grade and replace it with your final grade. Lectures are kind of boring and I tended to zone out so I fell a bit behind but made up for it with the final.

This class is pretty difficult, but if you put in the work, its straightforward. Hamilton is such a goofy, nice guy that's always willing to help. This was one of my first classes at Poly that I truly enjoyed and feel like I learned a crazy amount. It's also very applicable to real life, which I liked. My best advice is to start EARLY on the post classes, they take a while. Also, I don't know about others, but I hardly looked at my book. Take Hamilton, he's great!

Hamilton is THE MAN. Hands down not only the best economics professor I've had at Cal Poly, but also professor in general. The only reason why I signed up for this course was because I needed one more level 400 class....and no way was I going to take math econ; that being said, I am so glad I took this class because I've found the material extremely interesting. Definitely my favorite econ class & professor at Cal Poly. Too bad I didn't get to have Hamilton as a teacher until my last quarter here at Cal Poly.....but hey, better late than never I guess!

Didn't show up to the first class and ended up contradicting much of what was presented by the other professor he told us to go to. Grades harshly which the other professor stated would not happen as he wants us to also put in some effort to help the school out by spending some time with the standardized testing material. Basically what was told was that us students would help the school out and they would help us out, but they seem to have gone back on their word.

During this entire quarter all I could think about was how this professor reminded me of that small little dog that runs through the back of scene 23 in The Incredibles by Pixar. Seriously, if you look it up you will only be able to see it...
