Beth is a really nice teacher that helps you along this course. She gives you tons of examples and is willing to help you outside of class. This is a really easy class and Beth just makes it easier. At times, she may be difficult to understand and sometimes makes mistakes, but if you want clarification, just ask her and she will be more than willing to clarify and even help you do it. I definitely recommend her.

Beth Meyer is a very understanding professor. Whenever an essay was due on a friday (which all of them were) she would give you part of the weekend also to e-mail it to her. Her essay grading is a little hard but she is really willing to help. She will take the time in her office hours, or through e-mail, to go over your essay. Overall, I would reccomend her to others, the class is really kick-back, but be ready to spend some time on the essays.

Beth is a pretty cool teacher. The class was extremely laid back and half the time we were let out after like 20 minutes. There were like 10 homework book assignments, like 4 (I think) essays, one of which being the out of class final (meaning you don't have to go to a final during her section's block). Overall she was very nice and understanding, and I would definitely recommend her.

Beth was an amazing teacher. :) I wasn't disappointed at all. I took her class at 7am and despite the early rising, she was always in a good mood and TOTALLY understanding. Haha, she has the tendency of talking to herself sometimes and blabbering on about things that are completely irrelevant, but she catches herself and gets back on track. The course consisted of a few small essays (I can't remember how many exactly-not a lot though) and 3 main essays. The Writer's History (which a lot people found to be lame), Profile Essay, and Persuasive Essay. I think the longest essay range extended out to 6 pages.. but otherwise, everything is easily doable. For the Persuasive Essay, however, we had to get into groups of 2-5 and make a presentation towards the end of the quarter... Basically, despite my history of loathing English classes, Beth made this class completely kick back, enjoyable, doable, and really.... I don't regret having her as a Prof at all... You won't regret taking her.. she's hella cool. :)

This was the chillest class I have ever taken. Beth was awesome and made the class really laid back and easy for you. I always hated english and was dreading it this past quarter, but Beth made it not too difficult at all and really easy to get an A. I took the class at 7:00am, which is ridiculous, but as long you showed up each day you were almost guaranteed a high B. She even brought us breakfast occasionally! I definatly recomend you take english 134 with Beth Meyer and no one else!

Beth is the most awesome english teacher possible. I really don't like writing, but I loved her class. She always gave a lot of feedback on the essays we wrote. She also would let us to revise our essays in order to earn a higher grade. I had her class at 7 in the morning, but it was definitely worth it! She was never boring, and always ended class a little early. Some days she would even bring us breakfast in the morning!!! She also sometimes gave quizzes, but they were extremely easy if you just read the book. I would recommend taking her for sure. She is so understanding and so helpful. She had been my favorite teacher at poly so far. I wish I had her for every class. Take her class, you won't be sorry.

Beth is a great teacher, I had her for English 104 and 134. You have the opportunity to write your papers on what interests you, which makes it so much easier to write an essay. She is very dedicated and genuine to all the students and if you cant make it to her office hours she will sit down with you and make an appointment that fits in with both of your schedules. Beth gives her students the opportunity to re-write all essays again for a better grade. I spent a lot of time with Beth in office hours, fixing, and re-writing my essays and it brought my grade up drastically. I highly recommend Beth for Math 134.

I will recommend this class ONLY because it was so easy. You will not learn jack squat from Meyer. The only reason I went to this class every day was to figure out what the homework was, to turn in my homework, and it was in the middle of the day so I wouldn\'t be doing much anyways. Homework was an absolute 3 minute joke, essays were literally graded randomly, and class was just pretending to talk in groups. Probably the worst part of the whole class was that she never looked ANYWHERE besides the 2 back ceiling corners of the room. I never once saw her make eye contact with anyone in our 20 person class, even if she calls on you. Fortunately, this means she does not notice when you make faces to your friends about the retarded shit she is saying, and you can text on top of your desk without fear of disrespecting her... she\'s blind to it. We wrote 3 essays in 10 weeks. Take this class, but know you\'ll hate every minute of it.

This teacher is decent, but hard to get an A in the class. The pro's are that she lets you redo essays and she is pretty nice, but she grades essays harshly unless you are a great writer. I did get better at writing though. I would recommend her if you want to improve your writing or if you are a confident writer. Otherwise, if there are other options go with them.

HORRIBLE TEACHER! She cannot talk in front of a class or communicate through email...which is strange for an english teacher. If you are in greek life, DO NOT TAKE HER. She hates greek life & demands that she mommy\'s you through the class. If you don\'t show up, you will automatically fail your essays. DO NOT TAKE HER.

Fine teacher, but a little dry in the presentation. I wouldnt suggest having her at 8:00 in the morning, might be difficult staying awake.
