oh my god. oh my god. Take him. Honestly one of the nicest, generous, most caring, & beautiful people I've met. Spent my quarter abroad with him in Mexico and he was a blast. He is hilarious and is really sensitive to student's difficulties. If you're having trouble he will be so understanding. That being said, he is hard work, but you'll learn so much. Don't take his workload lightly, and always demonstrate how hard you've been working because he'll catch on to it. He likes sketching, and you WILL learn it in his studio, but he allows you to take a step back, relax, and actually enjoy what you're producing. Wish I can take him again for Mexico SMA Fall. I can't say much about his studio on campus, but if you are taking him for an abroad program, I'd highly recommend him. He and his wife have so much love in their hearts that it made the experience abroad one of the most beautiful times in my life. If I can rate this guy any higher, I would. He's freaking amazing and I'm literally tearing up writing this. Thanks Barry!

Barry is an awesome instructor and person overall. He is always willing to help/talk about your project or answer any questions. He makes himself available for students even on weekends and holidays. His remarks are constructive, but I sometimes wonder if he is holding back the harsh things he really wants to say about my project.
