Missed the first day, went to the second day. Went to the midterm. Went to the Final. Three days of class total. I got a B, easy. This kind of shit gives our school a bad name.

Dr. Papathakis had 3 exams 2 midterms and 1 final. It was her first quarter at Poly and was expecting way too much. The first midterm everyone did horribly on, but it was her questions that threw everyone off. She ended up letting everyone earn a lot of extra credit. I would recommend taking her.

Dr. Papathakis is a great woman and professor. Her lectures are really enjoyable and practical. There are quizzes, a midterm and a final. All are reasonable as long as you go to class and do the readings. If you are taking a heavy load, think about saving this class for later because there are a few sizable papers and homework assignments.

This class was a lot of fun but A LOT of work. There were 2 midterms. They are pretty detailed but if you take the time to study then you\'ll do fine. Our final was a paper on a nutrition related topic and pregnancy/lactation/infancy/early childhood. The paper isn\'t that bad, just don\'t wait till the last minute to do it. There were six other assignments that were time consuming, but you learn a lot. Do not take this class if you think it\'s going to be an easy A or B.

I have only good things to say about Dr. P! She is very knowledgeable about the material, she even added an international nutrition section this quarter and it really spoke to her experience. Her exams are extremely fair. She had us write 2 papers this quarter in preparation to learning how to write our senior papers, they were very helpful and she gave great feedback. But on top of the class itself, Dr. P as a person is so wonderful.

Dr. P is actually the coolest person and teacher. This class was the BEST and was super interesting thanks to her. Don't buy the book-just study the study guides and you'll know the whole test.

Dr. P is hands down the worst professor in the Nutrition Department. She is unfair and a horrible teacher. She grades all of your papers on your "writing style" and not actual content. She is completely unfair and does not listen or seemed concern with students needs or questions. She's angry every day in lecture (and I think its because she knows that her students don't appreciate her). She also thinks telling stories about her family instead of teaching you material is a great idea. Oh and she tests you on material that you have never learned and marks you down on tests for giving the correct answer. That's right, you can write the correct answer and still you will get not credit. Avoid this woman and any class she teaches!!!!!!!!

Dr. Papathakis is a fair teacher. She has a lot of knowledge and experience in nutrition. She's a hard worker and expects her students to be as well. There's some busy work in her classes, but it's to keep students involved and informed of what will be on the tests. Visiting her office hours was helpful.

peggy is a great professor and really helps her students out. if you go to her for help you will succeed. many people dont and that is why they dont do as well. her assignments are hard and she expects a lot, but they are also real world assignments (like the grant!) and she gives us great experience. her midterm sucks but she give so much extra credit it doesnt even matter if you get a c or dont do as well as you would like. i got a b- on it but went to her for help on my papers and ended up with a high a in the class!

I had Papathakis for both 415/416 when she was new. I thought she was a decent teacher. People were really mean to her though and I can't imagine hearing your students bashing you through the wall of your classroom while doing evaluations. I remember seeing her face when she turned around. At least have the decency to wait to talk trash. Most of the people who dogged her were the ones getting poor grades on tests. I personally don't think I learned a whole lot in the class but then 415/416 are super easy and there isn't much to learn in them due to content, not because of the teacher. Papathakis is actually a really smart woman and knows her stuff. She's traveled and done lots of research and if you actually talk to her and get to know her she's very nice and respects her students (even though some of them didn't deserve it). She gave extra credit too. The class itself is kind of boring, but it's required so just go and get through it.

Dr. P is one of my favorite professors in the nutrition program. She is knowledgeable on nutrition science; I loved how she would tell stories about her clinical experiences in class. She seems to have many stories of interesting past patients. She tell about her past experiences in South Africa with AIDS/TB individuals, which brings the subject to life. Before lectures she presents recent studies on topics from that class day, which helps students stay interested. Quizzes are easy. Tests are difficult yet reasonable. Lots of extra credit opportunity. Very approachable and helpful. Dr. P really is a cut above the rest!

Dr. P was an excellent teacher. She is very knowledgeable in Nutrition and I learned a lot from her class. Her quizzes are pretty easy in the beginning and get a little more difficult towards the end of the quarter, with more of an emphasis on her lectures and not just the terms. Her lecture tests are multiple choice and are pretty easy. The lab exams take most people all three hours, but some people finish in two. For the lab exams just make sure you know how to write a SOAP note correctly and know the calculations well (especially for the Parental and Enteral lab tests). She is very helpful if you have any problems with the class and is definitely one of my favorite teachers I've had thus far.
