Good teacher. Makes a visible effort to connect with students and make the material understandable. Clearly enjoys teaching and math. I would take him again.

Le is the most unclear teacher I have ever had. He is a grad student who really understands math, but unfortunetly cannot and will not bring it down to the students levels. He lectures directly out of the book, example problems and all, and expects the students to understand what he is saying explicitly. When he is presenting new information he does not do example problems, he only writes theorms on the board. There is a quiz once per week, which cover about one chapter. The problems are 'challenge' problems, not what was in the homework or what he taught, but much harder. He does not curve tests, even when the class average was 55%. If you struggle with math, Professor Le is not the professor that will help you through it. He sees the class as more of a game, how hard he can make the problems on tests and quizzes, because he enjoys math.

overall Le teaches Ok. He's a bit wordy when he explans the theory, but you can easily get clarification if you approach him during office hours. Friendly guy, and approachable!

In my opinion, Tihn Le is a pretty good instructor. He gave good examples, was willing to help during office hours, but he was pretty wordy with his notes. All that means is that you don't have to write everything down so no big deal. I took calc in high school so it wasn't that bad of a course for me, but I think it would have been a good deal harder for someone who is not that good at math and has not taken calc before. I got 100% on the first midterm, and a D on the second one, he gives you study guide for the midterms which basically tells you exactly what to study. His take home quizzes are not that hard and really tell you how well you know the material.

Mr. Le is not the best teacher in his ability to clarify the material and present it at a pace that can be easily followed. He rushes through the notes and jams hw material in that you will not understand given the notes, unless of course you're the math wiz that he is. Overall it was a pretty shitty class the way he grades the hw adds even more to it. I didn't like him, he was kind of a D-Bag. End of story.

Excellent professor. Chill guy, explains concepts well. He is a young guy and wants to help everyone pass. He makes himself available for his students. Extremely helpful at office hours. Would recommend him for anyone.

Never in my life have I had a teacher that I though was unable to help students as much as Tinh Le. His lectures consist of a long list of theorems with little or no applications or examples, so you might as well just read the textbook instead of going to lecture. His typical grading gives out 1 point out of 6 for an incorrect answer on the homework, even or odd, regardless of how much work was put into the problem. On tests if the answer is correct but the work was not done exactly how he wants it expect to get more than half off on the problem. When asked to clarify something, he does it a second time but speaks more slowly. If you haven't already had calculus in high school, dont let this be your first calculus professor in college. Simple as that.

I really liked Le Tihn, he was very good at explaining things and his tests were not hard at all. the things i had difficulty keeping up with was the homework packets. they are due on mondays and i would leave it at the last minute to do them, dont' do that. he picks two problems out of all the homeworks and each of them are 6 points. so if you forgot to do it, or didn't know how to do it, you got a bad grade on the homework. go to his office hours. he is very available to his students and really determined to teach, great teacher, take him

Professor Le was by far the best math teacher I'd ever had. He gave a reasonable amount of homework, explained concepts well, and was available in his office to help students often. Plus, he's cute!

Great guy! He's explains concepts very well at a reasonable pace, and is very helpful during office hours. He's also easy to get along with and down-to-earth like what previous comments have stated. I'd definitely take him again if I had the chance.

Very good teacher. Ive never took calculus before in my life and he made it easy for me to understand. His grading is very fair and it would be pretty hard not to pass his class.

Tinh is really in tune with his students. He presents the material in a really straight forward way and if you have any questions, he's happy to clarify anything for you. He takes his time in explaining difficult concepts and you always feel prepared for the midterms and the final. Plus he's a pretty cool guy too. Highly recommended!!

Professor Le is a great teacher. He is down to earth and really helpful to all of his students. His tests are not bad if you put in any time to review the information at all. Take his class if you have the opportunity. He is a young teacher and a great guy to get along with which makes class alot of fun (as fun as math can be).
