I took his class for Math 112, which we all know is the best GE for all us liberal arts majors because it\'s supposed to be easier than precalc or stats....well NOT if you have this guy!!! good god he does NOT understand people like us. aka people who have trouble thinking analytically, and are artistic rather than logical. He often gave up explaining simply saying \"just do it this way, that\'s how it\'s done\" well i don\'t know about you, but that is not very helpful. the VERY first day of class he said something about not being used to \"teaching people like us\"....well if you\'re a math major, or just good at math then i\'m sure he\'s fine. but for liberal arts majors....DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! he also gives NO partial credit, which sucks. if you make a simple calculation error but have the entire procedure of the problem correct as well as several other almost identical problems correct, still no partial credit. which is BS. LIBERAL ARTS MAJORS BE WARNED.

Not one, but two students from his class are rating him at this moment - and we both agree that he is pretty cool. We both had as good of an experience as is possible in a math class. He is very straightforward with his explanations and is always ready for questions. Stay up on your homework, it really does help and study when possible, but who doesn\'t expect that from a math class? All in all, a great professor. Take him whenever you can!

He was a good teacher. I had a 7am class with him and i was always tired. So i dont blame him for my lousy grade. He did a good job explaining the material i just didnt do the recommended hw. He is pretty chill and layed back. He gave us take home quizes every friday. The midterms werent too bad and the final was a bit hard. He was always available to help in office hours. I would recomend him if you were interesetd in a chill teacher. I know that i can not take him again cuz i need someone who will push me harder and be more strict.

Hahlbeck is a really good guy. I took this class at 7 am 4 days a week which means I was either sleeping in his class or sleeping in my bed. From what I do remember, he explains problems thoroughly and slowly and will stop and explain whenever someone needs help understanding something he is teaching. There is daily assigned homework but he does not require you to turn it in. Every weekend he would put a 3 question homework quiz for you to turn in on Monday. The midterms and final are each 10 questions, with each question being weighted differently. For example, more difficult problems and problems that required more work were worth more points. Good math teacher overall. I would have gotten a better grade if it were not at this time.

Hahlbeck is a really great teacher. He's really young and that helps him relate to his students. I had him at 7:00 am, and he was fairly sympathetic with our plight, though he never once cancelled class. The class is very straight forward. He lectures the entire 50 minutes and gives you suggested problems at the beginning of the quarter and a homework quiz every Friday. If you do all the suggested problems and do all the quizzes, you should be fine.

The worst math teacher I\'ve ever had, worse than a lot of my high school teachers. He gets through hardly any material in his CONVOLUTED lectures, and he seems to teach how to solve solutions one-way, which is really inefficient when it comes to math because theres often much easier and faster ways to get solutions to problems other than his methods... and he needs to take that into consideration. This is not the case all the time, but a lot of the time it is. And it doesn\'t help that his office is usually crammed with a whole bunch of students during his office hours because nobody understands the shit he is trying to get across to us. Sort of disappointing because I actually like math and was looking forward to taking his class. I am retaking MATH118 with a much better professor who explains things a lot more clearly and swiftly, and guess what my grade is astronomically better because i\'m not stuck listening to this guys crappy lectures/in his crappy class.

Clint is a funny guy and is easy to pay attention to. He wants class participation so if there is at least one kid in class who is willing to raise their hand and say the wrong answer all the time (that was me) then the rest just have to pay attention. If you have questions he stops the lecture and answers them thoroughly. He lectures slowly and writes his notes in a way that is easy to follow even without the lecture (which is great for studying). He assigns homework but it is not due, however, I strongly recommend that you do the problems. I did them on scratch paper and only did the odd ones that don't repeat concepts. I didn't take nearly as long as real homework and I would say that it was very helpful. The take home quizzes are nice and really help if you study them for the midterms and final. He gets excited sometimes about some things that he teaches which is pretty amusing. Overall he is a great guy and a fantastic teacher. He made trigonometry easy and rewarding.

this guy is an awesome teacher. His deep voice does make him sound a little like Sylvester Stallone too. Presents materials very clearly and slowly. Weekly quizzes were take-home for the weekend and were due on monday. Midterms and finals were fairly reasonable, not too hard. Really laidback and chill. Homework is not collected which is great. I highly recommend you take him if you want and easy time in math.

I ended up dropping the class, not because Professor Hahlbeck was a bad teacher but because he did expect you to have learned and remember all your previous math classes' material, and I hadn't done math for a year and didn't remember at all. A little review would have been helpful. He was very nice though and stopped to answer all questions. His voice is a little monotone in class, make sure not to doze off. Notes are his handwritten copies that he distributes, which I didn't particularly care for, but they were relatively helpful.

His voice is extremely monotone. If you have difficulty staying awake in math lectures, AVOID THIS CLASS THE MOST. Especially when it's offered in 2 hour blocks for 2 days. I get drowsy 10 minutes into lecture. :( It's really bad. One homework assignment due at the end of each week before a weekly quiz. Not hard if you spend time on the homework, and read the textbook for further understanding. He predigests the information before regurgitating it to you in class. Literally, predigests. His notes are eh... cool, but not very helpful to stay awake in class. He's an okay teacher. And he's a hunk. He coaches football in Paso Robles. Yeah. Imagine a jock with a deep monotone voice teaching math, putting you to sleep.

He a pretty good teacher however he is a bit monotone. He prints up notes for us which is nice because then we just fill them in. The tests can be tricky. But if you go over the notes, homework, and quizzes he takes most of the questions from there. He liked to ask a lot of conceptual questions which can be annoying. He seems like he cares and wants his students to do well.

hes pretty cool. he graduated from cal poly spring '07 so hes very young. he assigns homework, but its not due. its just a recomendation to help on the tests. almost every friday he gave us a "quiz": 3 questions from the stuff we had learned that week, 30 points total. you got to take it home and use any notes you had. he just asked that we worked on it alone. we had 2 midterms and a final. if the final was better then one of the midterms then he counted it twice in place of the lower midterm. the last day of class before thanksgiving, since people dont normally show up, he gave us an extra credit oppurtunity and gave us a fatherly talk about being thankful. the only thing that kind of bugged me about him was in lectures he didnt really specify what was important, like key equations. he did a lot of proofs and not many examples. other then that hes rad. his mannerism's and voice are kind of like a young rocky balboa that went to school instead of getting his brain matter mingled by Apollo

This guy is great!! I was so freaking scared of this class, I had a horrible time in 141, and wow... looking back at it, i was scared for nothing. Clint does an AMAZING job explaining the material, and his tests were more than fair. Do the assigned homework and make sure not to skip the problems you get confused about (those were the ones he chose to put on the exam). Instead of collecting homework Clint hands out homework quizes on fridays, two of the questions often came from or were very similar to those in the HW/book and one on the overall concept. He tended to ask all students to ask any homework questions in his office hours, which I thought was better because he was able to focus on covering the material better.... If you want a great professor, and to actually understand what is going on, take Hahlbeck! Thanks Clint!

I loved this class. Hahlbeck is a really neat guy and an excellent Math teacher. He explains every step of what he does for the examples he gives in class and writes down everything important that he says on the board. This makes it a breeze to take notes, and a lot of the examples he gives in class show up on the 2 midterms and the final *Wink wink* He also gives weekly quizzes that are not too difficult if you just study your notes for the week the night before, and they only count for 20% of your grade. Also, he assigns homework problems from the book but doesn\'t collect them. So, if you need a teacher that makes you turn the HW in because you aren\'t disciplined enough to do it yourself then that is the only reason I\'d suggest another teacher, otherwise take Hahlbeck because he will prepare you well for Calc 3. I\'d would absolutely take him again if I had the chance, and this is coming from the guy (me) who got a C- in his class. I just didn\'t study hard enough for the midterms because math was so easy in high school. Take Hahlbeck!

Hahlbeck is hands down one of the best math teachers I\'ve ever had. Class was a little dull because his voice is deep and a little monotone, and even though he gives you life lessons and poems and stuff (which are all really inspirational and interesting), he still gets through all the stuff very nicely. He\'s not afraid to fall behind a day to make sure everyone understands what\'s going on, and he\'s extremely helpful during office hours. He tells you exactly what\'s on his two midterms and the final and the quizzes you\'ll have every Friday. Homework is collected every Monday, and he drops your lowest quiz and homework score. Hahlbeck is a great guy and made MATH 142 super easy. The only reason I didn't get an A was because I never studied for anything. I'll be the first one to say that I could have worked harder in this class, and it is not entirely professor Hahleck's fault. However, I feel it is safe to safe to say that he is not a very good teacher. He has a very particular way of explaining things and if you don't understand his way of thinking you're pretty much screwed. Additionally the problems we went over in class, the problems on the homework and the problems on his quizzes/tests were alway completely different, making it difficult to prepare for anything. I know several people who did well in this class and who really liked the way he explained concepts but as someone who just months before taking this class had gotten a 5 on the AP Calc test and who went on to retake calc II and get an A I think its pretty clear that at least part of my failure was do to Hahlbeck's lack of teaching ability.

Hahlbeck is a really laid back guy, but he should be teaching football- not calc. His lectures were extremely boring and most of the time we wouldn't get through all of the material in time. It's hard to tell where you are in the class and what your grade is all quarter because he doesn't use Blackboard or let you know what your grade is until the end. Hahlbeck's lectures are completely different from what is on the homework. He focuses way too much on proofs and theoretical stuff, rather than working through problems we will actually see on our homework or midterms. He spends far too long in class working out theoretical stuff and doing pointless algebra that is not the focus of the class. Often times it just seems like he is trying to work out the problem to see if he himself still knows how to solve it rather than teaching the students. He is a nice guy and during office hours he is helpful so if you have him certainly go to him there. But in terms of his lectures, they are pretty much pointless to go to. You'll be fine if you take him so long as you go in to office hours and work through homework/example problems with him. I'll start with how he is as a teacher, then move on to what you can expect from him as a person. He teaches in a clear way, and gives you lots of homework problems (that are unfortunately pretty much worth nothing), and if you can do those then you should be alright. He has quizzes every Thursday which, again, you should be fine for if you did some practice and put in some time learning it. However, I wouldn't have passed without my workshop, so I recommend getting into one of those by any means necessary. Not sure what else to say. Just put in the effort and don't be lazy. Now for the fun stuff. He is a seriously interesting and quirky and weird guy. If you watch him while he gives his lecture (he is always scanning everyones faces for understanding) then you might recognize somethings: he does the funniest shit with him mouth. Like one time i looked up and his gum was just hanging out of his mouth like it was the most normal thing ever. I burst out laughing and he was confused to why. GENUINELY CONFUSED. I had to tell him why. But besides that he is always sticking his tongue out or doing something funky with his lips. AND NOT BECAUSE HE'S TRYING TO BE FUNNY but because thats normal for him. He loves interacting with the class and doesn't give a serious or stern vibe at all. but you can joke and laugh. (This quarter I responded quietly to a question he posed to the class: What does is the osculating circle for the curvature here...? And I said "Big Ass circle") AND HE LAUGHED AND USED "BIG ASS CIRCLE" TO DESCRIBE THAT FOR THE REST OF THE CLASS AND REVIEWS AFTER THAT) Summarization: He teaches clearly, doesn't surprise you with new material on quizzes or exams, and tells you what to expect. Take him - why not

Calc 3 is shitty, that being said, it is going to be at least slightly shitty no matter who your professor is. Hahlbeck is a super cool dude and is brilliant and def knows his stuff, however, some of his methods and explanations are pretty confusing sometimes so I had to watch a lot of YouTube videos and teach myself a lot of the material. That being said, he is EXTREMELY helpful in office hours and seems to take a genuine interest in student success. There are weekly quizzes (I think I got a D average on them) and his midterms are moderately difficult. The final was waaaaaay easier than I expected, like, I went into it crying and running off of coffee fumes and came out feeling like I was actually gonna pass, which I did. He doesn't put any surprise questions in his tests and midterms. He's hella cool, likes football and golden retrievers. Take him.

Absolutely an awful professor. He should not be teaching math. He doesn't know the basic concept of " explaining" things clearly. The class itself is not that hard and his weekly quizzes are very doable if you do the homework problems ( which also count toward your grade). There were 2 midterms and a final. The problems he puts on a midterm have nothing to do with his in class examples. The biggest issue is that he FLIRTS WITH GIRLS IN CLASS and picks favorites.

Clint is the worst math teacher I have ever had. His lectures are very boring and confusing as he takes strange routes to explain things because he wants us to "understand the meaning" of the math instead of just laying out problems step by step before going into what they mean. The first half of this class is a piece of cake because it is all the basics of integration, so if you did well in high school calculus you should be fine. The second half of the class is multi-variable calc 4 stuff that they apparently feel life science students need to know, and this is when the class gets more difficult. He drops your lowest homework and quiz score, which is nice, and the first exam was easy but on the second exam, most of the class struggled with the amount of time we had to complete the exam because he put way too many problems on it. The work load is never too bad, but you have to go over a lot of the examples on your own because Clint isn't very helpful in class a lot of the time. Clint seems like a nice guy sometimes, but he's really an old, sad, jock asshole who wastes class time talking about his glory days playing high school football. This dude genuinely creeps me out, but he's a great calculus professor and not difficult at all. He just gives me weird vibes, which multiple people felt the same way about. He threatened to throw some "curveballs" on the midterms but there were no such problems. He's a generally lazy test maker, which was evident in the difficulty of the problems he put on the test, most of which were examples from the notes with some numbers and letters changed. He prints out each set of notes, which is nice, and doesn't really rush anything. If you took calculus in high school and tested out of MATH 162, the class seems intimidating at first, but will be super easy after just a little review of derivatives and integrals. Homework is assigned weekly and is due on the day of the quiz. The homework load is not overbearing & pretty easy to manage if you get it done all on the weekend or space it out throughout the week.

Professor Hahlbeck was a really good math professor. He didn't always teach us everything that I felt we needed to know, so when we got to the homework it was REALLY hard sometimes. However, the class was still reasonable because his exams were very fair and honestly not too difficult. If you went to class, followed along in lecture, did the homework, asked questions when you were confused and studied well, it was easy to get a good grade in the class. Professor Hahlbeck is also such a nice guy. In office hours he was really caring about making sure I was understanding what was going on in class and giving me extra help, but he also cared to ask all of us students how we were doing outside of class. I feel like he really understood the stress of college life and wanted to do his best to be a resource for us which was so appreciated. I would definitely recommend Hahlbeck for 162!

The pace that Hahlbeck covers material is at a good pace in that nothing feels rushed and he even spends some days of class just asking us about what we are confused on. I did not like the way that he explained material though. He would explain an easy topic or concept in a confusing and long way. This made it hard to follow and understand some of the topics because he would explain in such an indirect and confusing way. Before every exam, he would say that he would put some of the hard problems from the notes or the homework on the exam but he never did. You pretty much have to know how to do the basic concepts and you will do fine in the class. His notes and homework make the exams seem like they are going to be super difficult but it really isn't. HE IS VERY NIT PICKY. He doesn't grade the quizzes, but he does grade the midterms and the exams and he is very difficult on grading like even if you get the right answer, but the work you did to get to it has ONE little error in it, he will take off points.

The only people who are giving him a bad review are people who had him for math 119 and under, and if you are in one of those math classes, I would venture to say that you have some preexisting issues with math unrelated to who ever your teacher may be. That being said, I (not totally horrible at math/analytical thinking, but not great either) think he does a pretty good job explaining and teaching the material. He even does reviews (during class time) before midterms and goes through everything you need to know. I haven\'t had an instructor do that since hs. Despite going to class every day I (I am also a dean's list student) I could not learn the material and got an F. When I did go to his office hours for help, he was flirting with a bunch of girls who seemed to have gone in just to hang out with him. Do not take him if you want to get your moneys worth!

It is very hard not to be distracted by his good looks, but once you get over the fact that he is a smart football coach that teaches math, he is a good teacher. Be willing to work hard, and do the homework in order to do well on the quizzes. Clint is always willing to help during office hours so take advantage of them. I would highly suggest taking Clint! He is great!

Best teacher I've had at so far. He is extremely organized and accommodating. All of the notes are online and he clearly goes over all them in class and will break down any problem for you until you have grasped every detail. The class is 5 days a week, but surprisingly refreshing. quizes every friday, homework due every monday. he is amazing. that is really all there is to it. one time we complained about the frequency of quizes and the next week he gave us a group quiz, credit/no credit. he's funny and engaging and uses very good examples to help you grasp the concepts of stats. i haven't finished the quarter yet so i can't provide a grade. but i needed to put this out there. TAKE STATS WITH HAHLBECK!!!!NO ONE ELSE!!! seriously. if you rearrange your schedule just to have him as a teacher it is well worth it. just make sure you go to class. haha. that's all

The only reason I received a B in STAT221 was because I had previously taken a STATs course with an amazing teacher (and saved all the notes). Hahlbeck does not teach, all he does are examples and expects you to know when to apply them. His quizzes and tests are reasonable but he is WAY too knit picky with his grading...he'll mark you down for the SLIGHTEST mistake. There are definitely much better STAT professors at Poly.

He is the worst stats teacher there is out there. I recommend not taking him if you are easily confused. His homework grader is ridiculous making it almost impossible to get a good grade on homework even if you spent a long time working on it making it quality work. He seems to spend way to much time teaching simple concepts and then realized he is behind and then crams several complex concepts into a short time period. If there is a different teacher you can get I would strongly recommend switching.

He is an odd teacher. I really enjoyed his hair style and the same fleece with jeans outfit everyday. He did take role a couple of times to keep track of who was attending or not. I would get A's on the homework after spending countless hours on it, and get a C/D on the midterms. I ended up with a B-, but it was difficult to pull of because he grades weird. Anyways, he was a so-so teacher who I didn't really like most of the quarter and was thankful to not get a C, so I am not grading him too hard.

He isn't that bad. Now if you go to class and try really hard there is no reason you shouldnt earn a B. The mid terms are hard. kinda scary when you get a D... but I did and got and a C+ on the second. Do well on the quizzes ( he drops the lowest quiz and hw) and well on the hw. Spend actual time. and cram your ass off for the final.. its cumulative but still you get a full sheet of notes and its not as hard as the first two. Hes an alright guy and he will help you if you go to office hours.

What is the probablity that a good looking, 27 year old football jock is going to be your college stats teacher? Probably not very high! Take this guy for all math courses. He rocks!!

Really nice guy. I had a 7 am class so I fell asleep on him often. Overall pretty average teacher. It was his first time teaching and I had to teach myself most of the stuff. He loves deriving equations in class and doesn't do too many examples. But he is great in office hours. He's pretty young so he understands the difficulty. And he's really excited to be teaching. I'm sure there are more experienced teachers out there, but with time he will be pretty good. If you're good at math, take him. If you don't want to put out an effort, you might want to take someone else.

I took Clint for Calc 3 last quarter, and am now taking him for Calc 4 this quarter. Although he is not always the most prepared, and at times he struggles verbalizing his ideas, he is a great teacher. He genuinely cares for his students, and he is very helpful if you ask questions. He realizes that we are students, and he understands that life sometimes is shitty. He has a family member battling cancer right now, and while he was explaining why he had to keep cancelling office hours, he started crying in front of the class. This guy cuts the BS, and what you see is what you get. He will tell you exactly what types of problems will be on his quizzes and tests. He doesn't try to "trick" students on tests like many math professors do. If you have the chance, don't be scared off by Hahlbeck's ratings. He is an awesome professor who is fun and ready to help.

Professor Hahlbeck is the greatest professor of all time. He is extremely good at presenting material in an easy-to-understand way, and in multiple different ways if someone is struggling. He is very welcoming of questions and does an excellent job at clearing up students' confusion. He provides the whole class with print-out notes so you can follow along with the lecture without worrying about writing down everything he does on the board. He gives weekly homework and quizzes. The quizzes aren't hard if you do the homework and his midterms are fair. The midterms accurately reflect what you learn in class. Take him, you won't regret it.

Hahlbeck was honestly a really good and fair teacher. I recommend actually getting to know him; go to his office hours and talk to him. He's not the kind of teacher to go out of his way to connect with his students on an individual level, so you have to make the relationship yourself. I'm pretty sure he didn't know the majority of the students' names by the end of the quarter, so if you're into ditching class, this is the class for you because he wouldn't notice. How well you do in this class is determined by your effort and understanding of the calc 4 material. Some of it is hard, but it's manageable. To study, review the book problems he assigns as well as ones that he didn't. Midterms and final are pretty straight forward. I recommend Clint!

He was straight forward teacher and printed us out a copy of all the lecture material which was super nice if you missed a day. Quizzes were easy if you understood the material. Midterms were about as hard as all the other linear classes.

Professor Hahlbeck is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He has a clear system in the classroom and assures that you are fully prepared for exams/quizzes. He teaches through examples rather than complete lecture which helps with the overall understanding. His assigned homework problems and in class notes correlate well with the tests; there are no surprises. Throughout my 10 weeks with Professor Hahlbeck, I have visited him in office hours constantly. He definitely cares for his students and will go out of his way to help them succeed. Take him if you have the opportunity! He will not allow you to fall behind.

I really enjoyed taking Hahlbeck for Stats. He really is a good teacher. If you have trouble learning math, he goes a good pace so you can understand everything. He really cares about his students and it shows. He is helpful in office hours (yes, somtimes there are flirty girls that get annoying, but what are you gonna do?) and if you don't understand something during lecture, ask and he doesn't mind clarifying during class. The midterms are fair (just study the notes and you should be fine). I think what I most liked about him is that he teaches with exaples. His lectures are exaples that he creates that coincide with the homework. There are three midterms (one every two weeks) and a final, Homework is due weekly (usually assigned monday and due the following monday), and there is a weekly quiz at the end of the week. Overall, I would recomend this class.

Hahlbeck is seriously the best math teacher ever! I was so nervous coming to college and especially taking stats as i failed miserably in high school trying to understand it. I had hahlbeck for stat 251 and 252 and do not regret it one bit! He is very passionate about math and wants his students to be just as interested. He really wants his students to succeed. He does not expect more then what is reasonable out of his students and there are no surprises or trick questions on tests and quizzes its very straight forward. He is seriously the best math teacher I have ever had! I was super bummed he was not teaching a bus calc class because I would have loved having him another quarter! TAKE HIS CLASS!

hes a pretty good teacher. the homework is almost impossible to get a good grade on. and it takes forever to do. there were quizes every friday which sucked. he grades the midterms and final fairly hard. he does curve some. but all in all, he is a pretty good teacher. show up to class everyday and you will learn a lot. i think he is the best teacher for 252. he is really nice and enthusiastic. i woudl recommend him.

Pretty bad teacher... it was his first time teaching Stats 252, but he was so unorganized, and didn't give a crap about the students. Half the time he wouldn't post the lecture notes online the night before, so you can't follow along and you'd just get super confused. It was hard to pay attention because he never knew what he was talking about, and if you asked a question, he would go into some long and elaborate explanation that never even answered your initial question. Quizzes every single Friday which sucked, and homework due every once in a while that were very hard to get 100%s on. You have to have MINItab (only can use on PC) so make friends in the class so you can do it together.

This was his first quarter teaching the engineering version of stats so he was getting used to the pace and the level of questions from the students. He always took his time to answer everyone's questions and did a good job at it too. He gave lots of examples, and worked minitab on the screen for everyone to see. Minitab is amazing and will help you if you learn it. He does have favorites though so if you don't like being pointed out in class in every example don' sit in the front/talk to him too much other than about class. Quizzes almost every week, if you know your stuff you should be fine, lowest one dropped. Homework every week, lowest one dropped. Midterms and final same just know your stuff and review the quizzes. Overall not too bad of a class, I just got mixed up during quizzes.

STAT 312 this Fall semester with Hahlbeck was great. For the first half of class, he would lecture using his own handouts (which you could print online and bring to class). For lecture, he went over a variety of examples on the board and on MINITAB that were sometimes pretty entertaining to listen to. There were three midterms, each of which was on the easier side if you understood the concepts, reviewed all the example problems from his lecture, and did the assigned homework. The Final wasn't much harder either, and was worth just as much as a midterm (20%!). Overall, a very good teacher for STAT 312. I felt like I used a lot of useful tools I could use in the real world involving statistics, and this was my first Stat class!

I thought Hahlbeck was pretty good; at least not as bad as some of these ratings indicate. His expectations are really clear, and it's just the right amount of work (though it can get a little frantic because you have three midterms). He tended to derive and prove a lot of stuff in class, rather than just give the formula you need, and sometimes I felt it got a little convoluted and confusing. If you bring it to his attention though, he'll make a good effort to try to clarify a point. He does a lot of helpful examples too. If you take good notes in lecture and do the homework (and do it right), you'll be fine in the class. Also, some others have mentioned the extra attention paid to girls. He tended to call on them more for answers. It didn't bother me, and I don't think the girls were bothered by it. To be fair, it is easy to quickly learn the names of the few girls in class as opposed to the large number of guys.
