Andrew is a really nice guy, but he isn't perfect. I took his class his very first quarter teaching, and it was very apparent that he was just learning how to do his job as he went along. That said, he tried extremely hard to help out the class and make sure that everyone did well. This even included study sessions for the midterm and final he set up outside his normal office hours! Also, if you asked, he was always very helpful. On a different note: be prepared for A LOT of work. Andrew's homework assignments and labs were noticably harder than those in the rest of the Arce 211 classes. Our class was almost always in the tutoring lab on Tuesday nights (and the tutors occasionally couldn't even figure out his assignments!). Basically, he's a very nice guy who teaches a very hard class. Maybe he'll get more chill with experience, but who knows?

Bunk. Hogue was a new teacher that just graduated ARCE, and has thankfully moved on to another career. He didn't present material clearly, failed to teach us important things we needed to know later, and didn't answer questions well. He would put things on homework we hadn't covered yet, and there is no book for the class - great... His final was crazy hard, and half the class failed - the rest got C's.
