Robinson is a great guy. He loves what he does and it shows. He has a mild sense of humor but if the students catch on they might get a laugh out of him. The class is also very laid back and relaxed. Rarely did anyone come close to missing a deadline. He is very understanding also. If you have a problem doing one of the projects he will help you out if not do some of it for you. The projects in his class are pretty simple. There are only three machining projects and you can restart if you mess up. There are a couple of Pro/E quizzes but they are cake. His midterm and final are pretty simple as well. One thing I didn't like about his was that he did a lot of explaining, and talked about things more than once. If you don't pay attention then this is great for you, otherwise it gets kind of repetitive. The class is pretty easy as long as you know what you're doing and you take your time on the projects.

Robinson is a cool guy. He's real laid back, likes to lighten up the class and tell jokes. I liked that he wasn't anal in the labs like I've heard some of the other professors are. He will help you out a lot if you ask. Very approachable. The midterm and final were prety fair...the final was a lot easier than the midterm. Then there's the Pro E report which takes a crapload of time. Make sure you learn Pro E well or have someone that can help you out when the time comes. I easily spend 15-20 hours on it even though it's just 10%. The class is a fair amount of work...2 labs a week but taking it with Robinson doesn't make it seem so bad.

Robinson is a pretty cool guy. He's funny but in a very odd way. Take him, but be wary that he isn't very good at explaining things on paper, but once you're out in the lab he is awesome. The ProE project sucks and when he said it would take 10-15 hours, I was very skeptical. It really does take that long, but only because they are very picky about your project and you constantly have to update it. 1 ProE quiz, 1 lab/lecture midterm, ProE project, lab projects, and a lab final. Easy. I hate his red mechanical pencil lead. PS Download Pro Engineer for your computer (ask him or read the instructions outside the ProE lab), it seriously helps a LOT if you don't need to be in the lab to do work.

Very funny guy, Robinson grades mistakes, but doesn\'t go overboard with it, famous saying being \"that\'s how we learn.\" Didn\'t teach ProE as much as showed the basics of what the lesson would cover, but every now and then it would come in handy. Overall great guy.

Professor Robinson presented clearly and made labs extremely fun. He was very glad to help out whenever someone didn\'t understand the material or any machining processes. He told many funny stories as well. Overall a great professor.
