professor shannon is a good teacher. you basically only have 3 essays to write and a daily journal to keep. hes really personal with his students and has 2 conferences during the quarter with you to discuss your writing. everytime you turn in your revisions, it comes back with many helpful comments and the best part...you can turn in your essays as many times as you want until you get the grade you want. this way, by the time you turn in your final folder you already know what grade you're getting. i learned A LOT from his class...if u can..take him!

He is the best teacher I've had so far. He gives every student the opportunity to do well. As long as you do your journal and revise your essays you should get an A in his class.

Shannon is the one of my favorite professors!!! Take him at any chance you can!! He really cares about his students and gives them every opportunity to succeed. You can revise your essays as many times as you want until you get the grade you want. 3 essays + daily journal = easy class. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great english teacher!

Nice guy, interesting class. However, as someone who loves English, it was on the boring side. We analyze and discuss a lot of photographs in order to learn how to compare and how to analyze art, but in my opinion the art should be excerpts or works of literature. Overall good teacher, and he is very accesible for help if needed. If you are looking for an easy A, take his class.

Short explanation: Great guy, great teacher, take him. Longer explanation: You have to take English 134 for so you might as well get a good teacher. Shannon is a damn good guy who genuinely cares (maybe just a little too much). Probably the most chill class I've taken so far. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and you'd have to be dumb as a brick to get worse than a C. If you aren't satisfied with a grade on a paper, you can revise it a boat-load of times. Go to class most of the time, write like 3 papers, get a guaranteed B, probably an A if you try.
