She is an exceptional teacher in lecture. She presents everything clearly and concisely, and designs her tests extremely well. In all three tests, she chose a very easy question, two average problems, and a tough one. Getting a C was very simple, a B just a matter of partial credit on the hard parts, and an A doable. She curves. I heard a lot of complaints on the tests because people expected pure math problems, in the style of circuits classes. She did however spend nearly three weeks explaining the physics of diodes, with barely any math. Why nobody expected those kind of questions is beyond me. I had her in lab, and there again she was fair, and actually showed a sense of humor. She did not know much about the equipment, and it showed a few times, but she was willing to try to help. The lab final was very easy, took me three minutes. Take her.

If you can get past her accent, Fei Wang lectures well. She always comes well prepaired with organized notes and she lectures carefully always making sure to explain things clearly. She also helped me with questions outside of office hours. I thought I would have trouble passing the class (EE courses are hard for me) but I ended up with a B. This was definitely one of the better EE classes I've taken.

I basically got the grade I deserved. Half the credit for doing half the work. I went to half the lectures, did half the homework, and failed both the midterms. I didn't study for the final, and decided just to wang it. Not sure how I did, but who cares, I got a C overall. All in all, I would say the Wang lady has much respect for the nerdcore lifestyle.

Professor Wang was on the ball for EE 306/346, plain and simple. Where other teachers dance around the subject matter, going off on tangents and providing useless asides, Wang sticks with the book (which is actually decent and helpful) and drills the concepts home in a relatable and structured fashion. She engages the class with discussion and asks questions to reinforce what she has just lectured on. She recommends that you read ahead to be caught up with her lectures, and if you can spend the 30 minutes before class reading a few sections in the book, it can make your life a whole lot easier. She tells you what topics she will be testing on for the midterms and pratically writes out an equation sheet for you on a review day before the test. I don't see how the test averages were so low, considering she strongly enphasized the presence of Semi-conductor chemistry for the first midterm and final. If you go to every class, do the homework on time and understand it for the test, the midterms will be no problem. She even threw in homework problems with numbers changed as some of the problems on the exams. I had her for the lab as well, and while some EE teachers BS about the labs for an hour before getting started, Wang thoroughly understands the lab and the equiptment and gets you going very quickly. She is very helpful during the lab and is eager to help with any student difficulties. The lab reports are graded fairly and are nothing out of the ordinary for an EE class. The final took me all of 15 minutes, which was simply a review of just one of the labs, so study all of your lab procedures before going in to the final; it's a single person practical final randomly on one of the 8 labs. Overall, I'd recommend Wang for any EE class, and I would take her again if and when I could.

Hard to understand. But easy tests. Gives you A in class if you get A on final

Dr. Wang is a decent professor not terribly bad but not great either. I must say that she improved her teaching as the quarter continued. Her tests are based mostly on her lecture UNDERSTAND THAT and you will do well in the class. Her first test was not very fair but each successive test she was able to hone her skills.

She is amazing in office hours. She knows exactly what you're asking and answers your question with exactly what you need to know instead of beating around the bush on the answer. In class, there's a lot of derivations so a lot of notes with straight forward tests. There was no homework but it's kind of hard to have homework for this class. A great teacher that is highly recommended!
