Hard to understand, fails to inform clearly, says he's involved with students but is not, no structure then questions you why you didn't perform a certain task, supposed to be Information Systems class but decides to make it a business speaking class, makes tests where all answers are same just rephrased, ton of group projects in a short amount of time, penalizes for absenses, interupts presentation to tell you his critisms. However, not much individual homework load, easy presentations. Be prepared to schedule time outside of class and be prepared to waste a lot of time in class.

You definitely learn a lot about marketing research, including different types of marketing analysis which you didn't know existed. He helps you a lot during your project and many times even does the work for you. That being said, he is not very clear on exactly what you have to do to get an A on an assignment or presentation. It would help if he had written guidelines.

Try to avoid the guy if you can for 347. I had this class at 9am, and it was so hard to go because I knew it would be pointless to sit there and listen to someone you can barely understand (indian accent, very difficult with him). In the middle of our projects, he belittled the class effort, which made everyone angry (one girl left in the middle of class to talk to the dean!). He later told us he did it to make us work harder, but I think in the end it just pissed everyone off! Everyone had a project with a different company, and it was pretty tough, not impossible though. I would say avoid this guy and take someone else, you'll be happier and probably learn more.

Xavier is cool. He is willing to work around your problems as long as you identify them to him. You have to get over the accent or else you will not be able to understand anything he says in class. If you have a question on a test ask him, because chances are he will tell you the answer.

Worst professor ever. An ass kisser to the core (see the way he praises and smiles to the Dean office staff). I learnt nothing from lectures or projects and neither did my group members. Heavy accent and yes, I almost forgot to add, he rambles on how much poverty he has seen in India. Total loss.
