Dr. Rickard is a new teacher to Poly but if you have to take 312, take it with him. Its not an easy class in general but you dont have to buy the book, everything you get tested on comes from lecture, and better yet, you actually learn something in his class. If you show up everyday and do the work he assigns you its not hard to get a good grade. He is a really effective teacher and class was alot of fun, he also does a good job listens to the students.

Hey everyone should take Rickard whenever you can! He is my favorite teacher I've had at Cal Poly. He presents the matierial very fairly and clearly represents what you need to know for exams. He's very interesting and I looked forward to coming to class every day. I also took him for ABG 313 and he was awesome. Definitely a cool guy!

Rickard is a super nice guy, but the information he tries to teach you is off base. Understanding all the policies in the class were really easy until he gets to puting them in a graph. The graphs are extremely difficult to comprehend and he doesnt teach out of a book so you cant look it up, and he is not helpful whatsoever in his office hours.... DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU DONT LIKE GRAPHS....He tells some funny canadian stories though

Rickard is the man!!! I loved his class. He has a very boring topic, but makes the class a lot of fun. You have 3 exams, 6 homeworks, and a lot of quizs. If you are good with understanding graphs you will understand this class. The guy looks like a grad student and he is Canadian and will let you know it. Please take this if you can!!!!

Brad Rickard is AWESOME. His style of teaching makes learning a lot easier. His tests can be a little bit more tricky than the quizzes, but are still within reason. Make sure to go to every class, he has quizzes at the end of each class. All of his quizzes were open note, open neighbor, they are basically just there to make sure you are understanding his concepts. Not an easy class, but you walk away learning A LOT of useful information! Take this class!!

He is an excellent teacher, tries really hard to keep the classes interest. Good guy, take him for sure if you can. Show up everyday and go to his office hours if you need extra help. Hard class, but he will meet your needs to help you personally understand whats going on.

Finally, a professor that doesn't have a chimp on his shoulder. This guy actually wants to see his students do well. There is a lot of math involved in this class so if you are a strong math person you'll get an easy A, if you're not strong in math then you will have to work a little harder to do well. Rickard is super chill so don't be afraid to hit up his office hours. Long live Canada.

Professor Rickard was a great teacher, and i strongly recommend taking him for this coarse. You do have to go to class, do the assignments, but if you do that the class is easy. It helps if you have a calculus background, but if you don't Rickard is really good about answering questions during office hours. His coarse outline is really typical; weekly homework, 3 midterms, and a final.

Rickard has a great ability to teach and communicate with his students. I've had him for 3 AGB classes now 313, 312, and 461 and he was probably my favorite and most effective teacher. A smart guy who is glad to be where he is. One funny Canadian.

Brad is probably the coolest professor I've ever had at CalPoly. And by cool, I mean cool; I felt he could really relate to his students. I'm not an AgBus Major and I took one of his courses for the hell of it, and loved it. His teaching method does get confusing at times because there is no definite textbook to study out of, but if you're confused all you must do is ask him, and he'll be delighted to walk you through the problem. I would def recommend him to any AGB major, even though I wasn't one. This man will definetly be in demand in a year or two. No lie.
