This is Dru's first year here, so her teaching style isn't really developed yet. Or at least that's how it comes across. This class was a seminar where we discuss the course subject, but there was a little bit of lecture. Her lectures were on Power Point (ugh!), some of the slides were too difficult to read, and she went through them way too fast. There was tons of assigned reading and lots of short literature evaluations to write, plus a debate and a final paper--way too much for 3 units. By the third week of class most of us gave up reading the textbooks and two other assigned texts because we always discussed supplemental readings (that were in PDF format). The books were expensive and we never used them...as a poor college student, I really didn't like that! I find the subject of CRP 435 very interesting, but I'm a little bummed I didn't learn very much more than what I did in CRP 214 and CE 221. Oh well.
