She is new this quarter and is a very nice lady. The class is a bit unconventional and you do a lot of group activities. In addition, she likes your group to be very hands on and spends a lot of time building team relations. The midterms and final are not too bad, a lot of the stuff is common sense. She likes you to participate on blackboard and have discussions with your group on there, which is annoying. She has a lot of industry experience and she brings that into the class room. Overall a good professor (she has a Doctorate).

This class was one of the biggest jokes. I really feel like it was such a waste of my time. This teacher thinks that she is teaching a class full of sixth graders, I mean we spent 45 minutes designing bumper stickers to show a main point of a chapter. To make matters worse, her tests were hard. She also picks favorites so if you are a good ass kisser you'll probably do pretty well. If you ask kids that have taken her the majority of them will say that she is very unfair in her grading. She had 250 point for participation and 50 points or attentance but if you missed one or two days she's knock off 15 points from your grade. I participated my ass off too and I got a B for participation. My advice, take a different instuctor and maybe you will learn something.

my concentration is currently HR and my first concentration class with humphreys was definitely an upset. i did not get what i was hoping to achieve in this class. this was her first quarter here at cal poly, so everything was new to her. she didn't really base anything in the book, everything was to her own knowledge. though she was a very nice woman, i thought she could have teach us more. the class was based on 2 midterms, a final, a final paper, group presentation, participation points and group work. midterms consisted of several multiple choice questions and essays. the essays had nothing pertaining to the book, so everyone pretty much BS on their essays and we still got points for it!! sometimes she didn't know what she was doing and sometimes i think she doesn't know anything about HR. overall, i was pretty disappointed because i had expected more from this class.

When I took this class it was Prof. Humphrey's 1st quarter, she comes from the business world, not education so right away I think you've got to cut her some slack. I thought she had a lot of heart and tried really hard to make the class fun, sometimes it was dull, other times interesting. I think Prof. Humpherey's grading was great, I'm not a good student, I was habitually late for this class(7am), and I didn't buy into the whole blackboard thing, and I still was able to get a decent grade. I hope she keeps teaching at Poly because this Univ. needs more caring prof's. Tip: Introduce yourself to her during office hours, a little personal time goes a long way. Tip#2:(guys) this class was full of girls, 35 girls, about 6 guys, doesn't happen often take advantage.

i am a HR concentration and this woman SUCKS i am sorry but she needs to sit behind a desk at an office and never try to teach. She is super nice and means well but i have never seen a teacher have so much difficulty teaching something, she needs some work for sure. only plus is you can almost garuntee a good grade from her because she is so scared and knows she sucks she feels bad and gives out a decent grade. i would avoid taking her, alothough their is not much option fo rother teachers. SUCKS
