Dr. Hawk is a great teacher, she is always prepared and willing to help. She seems intimidating but use office hours and you will be fine. Her test are a mix of fill-in amd m/c and its not tricky if you study for it. she teaches you alot and you will learn alot.

I took this class because I thought it would be an "easy A." I was wrong. It's nothing like Healthy Living, but it is informational. You can tell from day one that Hawk is really into teaching and I liked that she was organized. There's a lot to memorize (nutrients, vitamins, minerals, etc.), but if you have good memorization skills you'll be more than fine. I kind of hated that the class was 2 hours long, but I'm glad that Hawk was enthusiastic about nutrition.

Material is easy enough. Hawk just doesn't have that Poly professor flair. She speeds through each lecture like she has to pee and makes the class seem like "a class" and not "an experience". Study and memorize and you'll be fine. Just know that it won't be a groundbreaking experience.

I loved Susan Hawk. She was a great first teacher. She really worries about her students and wants them to do well. I only used the book once or twice because her notes and lectures are all you need. There are 5 quizzes and you get to drop the worst score. 2 midterms and a final, which are almost totally the notes. You will enjoy this class whether it's for your Major or just a requirement. I definately Recommend her.

dr hawk is honestly an average teacher. she is a tad bit boring but the discussions in the class were genuinly interesting at times. the class is not an easy A and take a lot of work memorizing esp at the end with vitamins and minerals. she definintly could have made the class a lot more interesting.

Dr. Hawk is awesome. She is so clear, most of her lectures are on PowerPoint. She is a great lady.

Dr. Hawk is super smart and fun. I loved this class because I actually used all of my knowledge from previous classes. This class was like going to medical school for 2 quarters. It is tough. Just be sure to get on Dr. Hawks good side.

Dr. Hawk does not like last-minute procrastinators or slackers of any kind. If you don't work your ass off she'll grade you harshly. There are a TON of things to do for this class: 5 quizzes, 2-3 midterms, 3 case studies, a poer point presentation for lab and the final. There is so much to learn that attendance is imperative not only to fill in the PP blanks but also since she might throw in a 5 point extra credit question from time to time... believe me, those points add up! Make this class your #1 priority if you want an A

Dr. Hawk was really nice. I was afraid of her because I heard that last quarter she was really difficult due to her first trimester of pregnancy. This quarter had the good pregnancy hormones, and she was really nice and happy. The class material was very interesting and pertained to real life. This was one of my favorite classes.

Missed the first day, went to the second day. Went to the midterm. Went to the Final. Three days of class total. I got a B, easy. This kind of shit gives our school a bad name.
