Kelly Underwood doesn't really teach you anything, and she doesn't like what you learned in high school either. She even says to forget everything you've learned. So good luck at guessing how to write her way because I couldn't. No matter how much effort I put into writing my papers, I still received C's. She says C's are average, so expect one.

Kelly Underwood is a graduate student who also holds a fulltime job in addition to teaching this class, so she has a lot of other stuff on her mind besides teaching this so she frequently cancelled class (score!) and cut down the number of quizes and assignments because she didn't want to have to create more work for herself by having to grade more. Quizes were easy, you could do well even without having read and were always allowed to use the book. Only 4 essays the whole quarter. I could totally BS them and not go the writing lab (often a requirement) and still get a C no problem. I recommend her if you don't want to do a lot of work and don't want to learn a lot about writing.

Let me just sum it up for you...no matter how hard you try, it doesn't matter. If you don't write like Shakespear, you WILL get a C. I went to the writing lab about twice a week (maybe more) and went into her office hours all the time. I even re-wrote one of my essays because she told me it had no "purpose." (Keep in mind the students at the writing lab told me my papers were funny and well written!!!) Kelly even told me in an office hour that I was going to get at least a B in the class for my hard work. She also didn't show up to class a lot because apparently we were her last priority, under stupid shit like "being tired!" I'll show her fucking tired!!!! Talk about fucking tired of Kelly's bullshit grades. DON'T TAKE HER IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO. It fucked my GPA up, so don't let it happen to you. I couldn't figure out what the hell she wanted, so if you take her GOOD LUCK...

She is a bitch! Don't take her at ALL COSTS. Not only did I not learn anything, but she rips your papers apart and then doesn't help you get better. What a waste of time and money!

Kelly....do us all a favor, and stop teaching. For the rest of you...Please don't take this class if you know whats good for you. I didn't learn anything, and it brought down my GPA.
