Overall a decent professor. Bus384 is not hard and if you make a valid effort you will do well with Peach. He has HR experience and I'm sure a lot to share if you ask. Straight forward quizes, and we didn't even have a final. Take this class, a good overview of HR.

Lots of real life applications. Great Teacher. Keeps the class entertaining. Explains topics well. Daily quizes. Do the reading. Show up to class and participate in discussions. No Final.

Dr. Peach was a little intimidating on the first day (especially as a large portion of your grade is based upon class participation which is not my thing). However, this class turned out to be great. There is a quiz each day of class over one chapter in the book. As a trade off, there are no midterms or final. There is also a homework assignment due each day over a case. Instead of lecturing during class, we discuss cases or do small group projects. I found this to be a very interesting and effective way of learning the practical applications of the subject matter. Peach also has a good sense of humor. Interesting and useful class - would recommend the class and professor to anyone interested in human resources.

BUS 384 was a complete waste of my time. There are no midterms or finals in this class, just quizzes every class meeting on 1-2 chapters. Just read the chapters carefully to do well on the quizzes. Your grade is dependent on outside assignments (that were completely useless), participation, quizzes, and attendance. In class, he spends a wasteful hour and a half going over those outside assignments with "discussions." Here is where you need to participate like crazy. His participation grading is very subjective, but keep in mind it is a good chunk of your grade. You then spend the next 10-15 minutes taking the multiple choice quizzes and get to leave early. I truthfully didn't learn anything in this class, and Peach is a rude guy overall. If you are given the opportunity to take this class with another professor...take it.

Peach's class is fairly entertaining as well as educational. I liked the book because the chapters are short and to the point. The class is all quizzes, which are 10 questions everyday. You can't miss class, but other than that it's an easy B if you skim the chapters before class. It's an easy A if you read the chapters completely. Overall its a great class that is a lot different than most classes so some people may not like it because its different from the norm. I liked the class a lot though, and I got an A which is somewhat (I hate to say it) unusual for me. So good luck and take the class.

I was required to complete this course for my business minor. After reading the previously posted responses, I must say that Peach is by far NOT one of the best professors. I have had many professors, and Peach is MEDIOCRE AT BEST! He is hard to listen to for long periods of time and does not like non-business majors! Beware.

Peach's class was great. Not too difficult and a bit entertaining to boot. You will do tons of group work, so be ready for that. His midterms weren't too difficult and the final was a group paper. One of my favorite course so far, and Peach did a good job.

This was one of the BEST teachers i had here at cal poly!!! this was the one class i enjoy going to! peach did a good job on teaching OB and he always made this class fun for us. he didn't really lecture much, but we did a lot of group work. participating in group work was a lot of fun because we did a lot of fun activities. sometimes we would get case studies to read and there will be a quiz the next class time. and he DOESN'T even grade the quizzes! you'll get 10 points for writing something down. There were 2 midterms and part of the midterm you'll have to take on your own and the other part you'll take it with your group. Be sure to read the book when midterms are coming up because everything on the test is in the book. And the book was actually fun to read because i learn a lot from it. there's no final, but there's a final paper to be done by your group. overall, i though Peach was a good professor and i totally recommend anybody who take's OB, take Peach!!!

Peach is pretty cool for OB, better than what I've heard from the other OB professors. He is retired so he only teaches one quarter a year. Every class we got out at least 45 minutes early and we pretty much did group activities that were fun and discussed cases. For the midterms, just read the entire book and know it well because that is all that is on the tests. I got a D on the first one but then ended up with a B in the class.

Mr. Peach is awesome. He provides plenty of cases that coincide with the course. The material is pretty basic. Show up to class and participate, as well as read the cases and you should do fine.

Dave Peach is an excellent Employment Law Professor. His lectures are clear, concise, and short. We got out of class early every day by a half hour. Every day there is a quiz, but it's an easy A if you just read the assigned chapter and you can probably get a B if you skim it. There is no Final! If you're an HR student, Dave's class will be one of the better and more helpful classes you will take.

Dave Peach is the best teacher ever! There's a lot of reading, but I learned so much from him! He's also one of those teachers who says what he has to say, then lets you out of class. No crap, no filler just to make the class 2 hours, no wasting your time. Awesome. You still learn what you need to learn though, and you have a quiz each class period, but NO FINAL. If you are looking for an interesting class where you will learn alot, and only sit in class for the hour - hour and a half you actually need to learn it, Peach is your guy. Poly had better pray this guy doesn't actually retire for good (he's sort of retired), they won't get a better prof.

Peach is a nice guy, but a boring professor, which made the class boring. He knows his stuff, but he'll just read off Powerpoints for lectures.... not what I was hoping for in an employment law class. You'll do a chapter each class meeting, have a quiz, and will get out early. I think we only stayed the whole time once.
