Probably the worst teacher at being helpful in class. After the first midterm which only had the hardest questions from the chapters we told her that she hadn't even done an example like that in class and she told us that she would have but we chose to ask questions about the test instead and we ran out of time and that we should have known how to do them anyway. She gets very frustrated when people ask questions like we should all be experts and always has a bitchy tone in her voice when she answers. I am retaking this class from last quarter and I still get lost in her explanations sometimes. I would not reccommend her.

This teacher has no teaching ability. It's her first quarter at Calpoly, and I believe the only other classes she has taught were when she was a grad student at Purdue. She assumes we know way mor ethan we should, and rips on us every day for not knowing what she considers easy and basic knowledge. She did massively curve which ment 55% was a B!! I'd avoid at all costs.

This professor is not good!!! As you can see from the other students, she doesn't know how to teach! Our first midterm was totally off the wall, most of us had never seen the things she asked. The avg. was a 53% or an F!!! She did curve it but ragged on us for about an hour about how we should have known everything! Anyway, try not to take this class with this teacher! You have to teach yourself from the book!

I took Dr. Muge for BUS 342 and it was her first quarter at Cal Poly, although many students say that she is a bad instructor I would like to disagree. She is extremely knowledgable in the field of finance and even though the course is diffilcult, she is always available during her office hours to help. The first mid term was really diffilcult and I got a 42 out of 100, and was totally devastated. However, after many office visits and much hard work, I got an A and have the the satisfaction that I really understand the material. If it wasn't for Dr. Muge I would have probably dropped the course, and changed my concentration, but she helped me through it. The class is composed of 2 homework assignments, 2 midterms, a project, and a final, you can work on the homeworks with a group and the project is not too diffilcult to get a good grade if you put in some time. Also if you take this course I recommend that you purchase a HP Financial calculator it really helps with problems and can be used during tests.

Not a very good teacher. Sometimes she'd mess up on an example on the board, and then just move on and not correct herself. Avoid at all costs!! Grading system in incredibly unstable. We didn't get a lot back until the last day of class. If you have her, beware. You are in for a ride.

I can understand why a lot of people would be frusturated with Dr. Muge. With a thick Turckish accent who speaks very quickly, she is hard to understand. Her class consists mostly of examples of problems that will be on the test. If you copy these examples down in class and go over them later, you will do well on the test. It's the people that read the Daily during class and tune out that have trouble. You don't really have to pay attention, just copy what she writes on the board down. She was a little unclear at the beginning of the quarter, but got used to it after the class bitched her out. I did horrible on the first test like everyone else, an F to be exact, but got a C+ in the end. Go to her office hours and get to know her, and you'll do fine. She's actually a very nice person who wants you to do well.

Okay, so she may not be the best instructor- but maybe she will get better with time- it was her first quarter at Cal Poly. If you are seriously into finance and really want to learn and be challenged, then take Dobson. If you want to get through finance, take Muge. She does know finance, and if you do a majority of the intermediate level suggested problems, or more importantly the problems she does in class(so go to class to take those notes), then you should do fine. Go to office hours and you'll find that she is a really nice person, and as someone said before, she wants you to do well. I did bad on the first exam also, but did much better on the second test and the final- so she really looks at your improvement, and whether or not you are coming to class. It takes time to get graded materials back so if you are a patient person and laid-back, this is the class for you.

She is the WORST teacher I have ever had. She is pompus and when students ask questions she gets offended and insults them. She took the entire quarter to grade our assignments and tests. At the end of the quarter I still had not received two assignments. When we took our midterm, another professor passed out the exam. The whole time, a handful of students were begging him to be our teacher. DO NOT TAKE HER! You will be tramatized for life.

Muge isn't a bad teacher; you actually have to put time into the class to do well. You are allowed a cheat sheet for every test so you can put her lecture notes and examples on. I recommend doing all the suggested problems from the book and going over the ones she does in class for the tests. Her tests are difficult, but they are curved. Do the homework with someone else and go to her office hour and ask questions. It's possible to get 100% of those which really helps. We also had to do a project analyzing a company which wasn

Attention, all the idiots who have been complaining about Dr. Muge: you can all kiss my a.... You are all used to floating by without studying and even thinking. So here is a professor who expects you to study, come to class prepared and even think, and you give her Hell. She is a great teacher, and the fact that she is leaving CalPoly is a shame on us and the school administrators.
