credit no credit class. There is one test and a binder due at the end of the quarter. I got a B on the Test and 100% on the binder. The class is super boring, but she takes attendance every day and marks you down if you don't go.

Rec 110 is just a preview of your next four years. The class is credit/no credit. Go to class because she takes attendance. The class gets you excited for your years as a Rec major!

This teacher blows. She seems hell of nice at the beginning but she is really a bitch. Rec 205 has easy assignments but she finds a way to downgrade you. She is by far the worst rec teacher and avoid her at all costs. Avoid her at all costs!!!

Sorry fellow Rec majors but with Dr. Moyers Rec210- you are screwed. You are assigned a project where you actually go out into the community and "learn by doing" by planning a program- this is the basis of the class. This consumes so much of your already busy schedule and end the end- the programs you work for are very satified with what you have done for them. Then you get fucked on your grade because Professor Moyer decides your work wasn't good enough. She could take a hint at her own lectures on how not to cram schedules so that quality work can be done- then she assigns you everythuing under the sun in dead week. Her class is horrible- lectures dont teach you anything about this field you grow to hate because of her, midterms are a cruel joke...........I'd go as far as to say pick a different major so you can avoid this waste of an education that occurs in rec210 at the hands of Cynthia Moyer.

Unfortunately I don't have any nice things to say about moyer- be careful when addressing her- she's anal about calling her "professor moyer" This class gave me a new impression of the Rec department- All quarter long I thought to myself how there are only a handful of teachers in this department and so often you're stuck with teahcers that think the world of themselves and the topic they have chose to teach. This class sucks- one of the worst (probably because of moyer) I've taken in the major. If any other person teaches this class, take them and NOT moyer. She is very inflexible and her evil glare would surely make any person want to ...CENSORED... anyway, the subject was not hard to understand at all, but the work load and instructor make it a very unpleasant 10 weeks.

The worst class ever for a Rec. Admin major. Prof. Moyer is a cruel instructor who obviously has pissed off many of the students who have passed through her class.Just look at the other ratings. Seriously try your hardest not to get Moyer for Rec210- there is talk of someone else teaching this course and I highly recommend waiting until someone else teaches it. Dont let her personality fool you, she is an evil person looking to give you a horrible grade.....Caveat Emptor! -Exams are not well structured in relatoin to class. Reviews dont help. -Lab experience seems like a real job that takes up way too much time for one class. -Your bad grade will shock you. I know of 1 "A" that was recieved and a couple "B"'s. The majority of students get "C"'s which baffled us all.

Professor Moyer is an excellent teacher who cares about the well being of her students. Rec 210 is an excellent way to get real experience for working in the Rec field. If you don't wait until the last minute to do the binder, (the major class project for the class) the class is easy. You get to break up the work load of the binder with your group so what you actually end up doing isn't all that much. The homework assignments are easy because the answers are straight from the book--she just makes you type them which means that you can't wait until last minute. This class definitely prepares you for the real working world and program planning. Professor Moyer is a wonderful person and a fair grader if you take the time to know her and learn from her.

wow, people dont like her judging from all her other evaluations. ok, but here is the real deal. shes a hard grader, thats a given. her tests are easy if you STUDY the study guide she gives (its good, so use it!). the binder and event are hard to plan and do- its takes a lot of time and she grades hard! shes very nit-picky about the binder. her lectures are straight from the reading, so its boring! she could stand to be more creative in her lectures. she has a fake quality about her, so its hard to know what shes really thinking. however, this class is required and it is useful. its gives us a good idea about event planning. just because this class or the prof is not the best or the funnest, i would not trash or base the whole rec major on this one class. its gets more fun as you go along. overall, id give this class a "B-."

At first, she was awesome. I was wondering why people said such bad things about her class on polyratings. By the end of the year, I saw why. VERY tough grader. Very nice teacher and friendly person but pretty SHADY when it comes to grading. Pretty unfair, avoid if you can.

Im not sure why everyone has bad things to say about Prof. Moyer. I thought she was a good, fun teacher who knows her stuff. I dont know about you, but as a REC major I get a little sick of all the other teachers and their constant sunshine. I thought Moyer was down to earth and a fair grader. Plus, the event is fun. Take her!

I dont know why everyone hates her. you have to put some effort into the class, but that should be expected from any class you take. Shes a friendly person. this class can get kinda boring..but you can study from her powerpoint online. if people hate working with the community projects so much, then why are they a rec major?? anyone who says they are switching out because of her must have some other reasons to leave, shes not that bad.

Before you read on, know this: moyer is rad, she's a great person and there's no doubt about it. But you're not reading this because you're looking for new friends. This is my third and final class with Cynthia and as a professor, moyer is unorganized. in all three classes she has been courtious enough to provide a course manual. Don't get me wrong, the course manual is a great idea, but caution yourself; it is loaded with grammatical errors out the wazoo and topics and ideas are more scattered and difficult to find than seed in a wind storm. I wish she would realized this and revise her course manuals. Her lectures are as boring as the day is long and loaded with more dense powerpoint action than the law should allow. Her class assignments seem a bit pointless, but they teach you what you need to get a C on the exams and give you great opportunities to chat up classmates about the weekends' happenings. There are a couple things about Cynthia that i just cant get over:She reminds me of my mother; always knows whats best, always right, and will jump at the chance to get in a pissing contest. Also, she has an incredibly filthy habit of making a smacking sound before she begins sentances, especially when she's proving a point. The sound is generated by placing her tongue against the back of her front teeth, sucking lightly, and pulling her tongue away. Its an aweful noise that reminds me that she is aging. she's a strange bird to say the least and for an older woman shes pretty attractive.. but like i said before, she's a great gal. She's wonderful and would give you the shirt off her back

Fine teacher, but a little dry in the presentation. I wouldnt suggest having her at 8:00 in the morning, might be difficult staying awake.
