Cory was a decent professor. This is his first quarter teaching here, so I'll give him a little slack. The material that we are forced to cover in class is boring and seemingly pointless at times, but he does his best to make it interesting, punctuating lectures with activities and group work. Speaking of group work... expect a TON! We had to perform volunteer work outside of class in our small teams and then write a 10 page report on it... yuck. Anyway, there are some up-sides to his team-learning style: you get to take the midterms in a team... and they're take-home! YAY! Just to give you an idea... we had to watch Patch Adams (Yes, the movie) and then analyze it and apply course concepts to it. It wasn't that bad. His lectures are a bit dry, and he needs to incorporate more discussion on interesting topics (which might be impossible, considering what he has to cover). Overall, he's not bad. I can assure you there are much worse teachers here at Poly.

Cory is our age and is trying really hard, but i think he gets a little nervous in front of the class, because his talks are never coherent and although the material covered in 387 is a joke that needs to at least be acknowledged, he tries to take it really seriously, which makes it all even funnier. TONS of busy work. you have to meet with your group all the time, but its easy, you wont learn much, but take him. the only thing is, attendence is required. not even ONE missed day is acceptable!!!

BORING!!!! But apart from that, this guy for some reason thinks he has the authority to hand out grades and does not make his expectations clear at all. its pretty much random what grade you get, but it wont be below a B.

I must say Cory gave his first quarter students his best efforts. The class in general is VERY boring and he tries to make something out of nothing which really isn't his fault. You better hope you get a great group or else....Seriously you spend soooooo much time outside of class with your group that it will drive you nuts if your group sucks. There is really no "quizzes" or "test" but you will type a ton of pages within your group. He is not very clear on his instructions so make sure you ask plenty of questions while you have him in class cause he won't answer them after the fact. Overall I am glad to have 387 behind me and he was fairly easy but not very exciting.

Croy was a great teacher. Right from the beginning he wanted to get to know us all starting off by using name plates to learn our names. The material is very dry mainly because of the subject. Cory did a lot to make the class more interesting through examples and by using jokes to keep us interested. There is a lot of group work but it is mostly in class. Every class you meet with you group with very effectively breaks up the lecture time. Test are essay for but they are take home and are done as a group. Homework is virtually non-existent and any that you didn't do can be done while you meet with your group during class. The class project is pretty easy and doesn't take very long. Total for the project my group meet for about 10 hours. Five hours consisted of doing the volunteer work and eating lunch. Four hours consisted of reviewing the project, deciding what to write, eating, and drinking. Individually it took us the last 2 hours to write the paper and organize our individual parts. Overall Cory is an awesome teacher for this class. I would have gone crazy with any other teacher who would have made us sit in lecture for 2 1/2 hours, made us do homework, and gave us individual essay tests.

Do not trust most of the evaluations Cory has received! Cory is a great teacher and did a magnificent job for his first quarter teaching. Cory did a excelent job of making boring material exciting. Most of the students I have spoke to also believe Cory did a great job in conveying the material in such that the concepts were learned and the class was exciting. IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE OB TAKE IT WITH CORY!!!!

Cory is an awesome teacher! The course material is boring, but he is able to make it interesting. I definitely enjoyed (and miss) this class and I would recommend Cory to everyone who is planning on taking Org. Behavior.

I am still in the class so I haven't got my grade yet, but I am going to warn students now. Stay away from this teacher like the plague. Like one person said, his grading is beyond comprehension. He has very, very ambiguous directions, which is fine if he promoted creativity at all. But instead Cory expects the test to not deviate from what he expects you to telepathically. He is deathly boring and my roomate has Villa, and says he loves her class. Any good comments about Cory, I am positive that he wrote about himself. Not enough group discussion about important topics. It's a definite A or B, yet I would highly recommend saving yourself the frustration, and not wasting your time taking Cory Wilson.

all of the evals with good ratings are from cory himself, i promise you. everybody in the class that i spoke to thinks he blows. he assigned a group assignment the day before(8pm) valentines day and made it due the day after valentines day(5pm). the assignment took 6 hours with a group of six. He pops these group assignments with no notice throughout the quarter and he expects you to drop everything that you are doing. worst teacher ever!

Professor Willson is bad. He acts like a child and does not give students a fair opporunity to recieve the grades they have earned. I honestly feel a if I have been cheated by his grading criteria. COry should learn to let personal issues go and be adult in every stuation because he acts more childish than his students.

Great guy. Don't let his age fool you. He knows his stuff. The work load is very intense and the out of class time spent with your teams is huge. Come to class with comments on the reading and lectures and you'll do fine. Start meeting with your teams as soon as you can so your final product will be great. Keep up w/ your journals.

probably one of the worst teachers ive ever had. do not take. he is horrible because he knows exactly how he is oging to screw you over. makes it impossible for students to talk to him about grades. entire class is bs and so is he. If it means anything, my entire class wrote front and back of their evals at the end, and it wasnt positive. if your in a group with someone he likes you might pull off a b

Mr. Wilson is an extremely nice guy. Although I'm not too pleased by the grade I earned and I whined about how lame the class was last quarter, I came to realize that I also enjoyed it a lot. He's a solid professor and very well spoken (especially considering how young he is). Solid.

This guy will assign you group work up the ass. He was a nice guy and really cared about what he was teaching but it was really boring. Midterm and final was group work and there was a lot of little group work assignments as well as a "Noble Team Project" the required your team to do volunteer and then write a paper on it. Lot's of work but a nice guy. Pretty easy B as long as you get your work done and talk in class.

Cory's life and grading is a complete joke. This guy fully will not take responsibility for his actions. I can't believe he can look himself in the mirror and take himself serious. He is always talking about his family but if his famiy knew how he handles certain situations with students they would be very disappointed.

Don't listen to everything you read about Willson on here. He is a great teacher and cares about his students. His lectures can be a bit confusing at times, but that is mostly due to the material that he is teaching. It is a difficult subject to teach, and I think he did a great job. Just a heads up, there is a lot of group work, but it's not difficult if you have a good group. His grading is a little confusing, but overall it's fair. He is young, but that does not mean anything. I think that he is one of the best teachers I have had. I highly recommend taking him for 387.

This guy is a joke. His teaching philosophy revolves around providing students with vague direction, and then grading them down using strict and unknown guidelines. I have no idea why this guy has a job, let alone a job where he is in charge of teaching others. He fails to realize that just because he never got A's in college, some of his students still might sometimes deserve them. Take Willson and you will regret it, as you would whenever you take a class from a prick with youth and size complexes.

Professor Willson was not as bad as most of these evaluations make him out to be. There was a ton of busy work, apparently more so than for other professors, and he basically requires you to eat, sleep and breath Org. Behavior, but he's not a jerk. If you're not a "team player," this class is going to be your worst nightmare because the members of your group basically need to be your new best friends for 10 weeks in order to pass his class. If you don't have a lot of time outside of school, don't take Willson, only because the group work NEVER ends, not because he's not a good guy.

They say that you can't tell a lot by first impressions, but with Cory you can. On the first day of class he couldn't stop smiling. It wasn't cause he was a nice guy, it was a smile that said, "Wow, I can't beleive I'm actually teaching a college class. This is so cool." Ever since then he had a power trip. He's young and graduated from Poly a few years ago and knows he's good looking because of you fucks who write it here on Polyratings. He dresses up each day and thinks he is better than everyone sitting before him and likes the room real quiet when he talks, becuase it is the most important thing you will hear all day. The material is irrelevant and 90% of what you do is busy work. Its also all group work, so if you have a bad group you are screwed for 10 weeks. 10 weeks of forcing yourself to deal with a bunch of tards. Not fun.

Bottom line is that Cory does not give the grade that people deserve. He constantly seems like he is trying to live up to his fathers expectations (per his discussions). He appears to be a bit afraid in front of the class, and is on a bit of a power trip. Honestly, he seems like he has some serious issues and one day will just explode.

It seems like there are many mixed ratings on Corey. I thought he was a good teacher and I actually had fun in the class. It is true that if you don't get a good group you're f*cked, so that does kind of suck. I don't think he's all into himself like some have said. I just think that he likes what he does. I don't think he's any worse than many of the other professors at Poly so quit whining!

Honestly, this is the worst class I've ever taken. Complete waste of time. The material covered in class could be taught in a third grade class. I have no idea how I could get all A's in my other classes (marketing, finance, accting, etc) and not in this joke of a class. I've also don't understand how they can hire someone who is obviously less intelligent then the forths of the class. He's up there babbling on about pointless shit that doesn't relate at all the OB. Horrible! Worst teacher I've ever had at poly! Horrible!

Corey has that chip on his shoulder from being a young professor who has to prove himself. Yet, he has a soft, emotional side that many girls want guys to have, but with him its just weird. My group really f'ed up and we all still got B's by pulling our sh*t somewhat together by the end. GO to his office hours if your having issues with anything-he really takes your 'emotions' into account.

Don't take this assole at all costs. If you read the earlier evaluations he seems like a good easy professor, but the only reason he sounds good is cuz it was his first quarter teaching. What teacher isnt good when its their first quarter teaching, they dont have a clue what to do. Eventhough the class basically only consists of group work, the amount of work he assigns is painful. We had a 10pg paper due one day and a week and a half later had a 20 pg paper due. The groups consists of 6 people so basically it is impossible to find a time that works for all six people. He pulls grades out of his ass, and his instructions for every assignment are poor. I honestly can say he is the worst professor at this school. He never takes input from students and acts as though he is above all students in his class. The only reason i went to class was because attendance and participation is 150pts of ur grade. Missing one class is a 10point deduction 2classs 20points and so on. He will tell u stories from his past that are pointless but according to him they sound very philisophical. I didnt learn one thing in this class and i highly recommend you to take a different professor.

Day 1 - Without him even saying a word, my first impression is that this guy is way too young to have any credibility in any business course. Within the first 15 minutes of him opening his mouth, he lived up to my expectations. I honestly do not know how they can consider this a business course. I didn't learn a single fucking thing that will in anyway help me in the business world. Cory didn't even relate anything in the course to the business world either. It was a complete waste of my time. Like others have said, the only reason to attend class is the shear fact that attendance and participation are 15% of your grade. I think I would much rather take both accounting and finance over in the same quarter than take Willson again. I only enjoyed one class and that was the final class of the quarter because I was drinking before I attended.

Ok. I will keep this breif because Cory made us write so much on the stupid team assignments that im burnt out. 1) i hate the book, and the quizes are ridiculous, seriously, reading the book does not help a bit; I got a 27% on my first one which was the best out of my group, and a 44% on the second. 2) The stuff we learn in this class is so ambiguous that they should shut down the class alltogether. 3) He is a real nice guy, but I dont this he has what it takes to teach. Not only does his lectures have nothing to do with anything, but he spends the whole class time, up to the last minuet, giving us repetitive examples. 4) WORST OF ALL!! IF you miss class you are screwed, he deducts so many points for it!! Advice... just go with the flow in this class, dont try to hard, but dont give up.

Hands down, the worst class I've ever taken in my life. Useless material, ridiculous concepts, pointless exercises and an exceedingly poor professor. Seeing as how we all have to take this course at some point, do yourself a favor and don't take it with this guy. The man demonstrated absolutely no knowledge of any aspect of the business world. Your randomly assigned group will determine the grade you get. The class can actually be tolerable if you get a decent group, but then you still have to attend everyday and listen to complete bullshit from Cory. Basically, I've never done more work for what I got out of it..... nothing. Seriously, this rating doesn't even do the course justice. So I'll just say fuck Bus 387 and fuck Poly for making us take it.

First, Cory seems like a decent guy and he's really not hard to get along with. He also tries hard and seems genuinely interested in the class itself. The real problem here is the material. The textbook is positively idiotic. If you haven't learned how to interact with people by the time you're old enough to attend Cal Poly, I think it's safe to say that reading a textbook on the subject isn't going to help you much. This is material that MUST be learned intuitively via face-to-face interaction with living, breathing humans, and in that context the textbook's wordy anal-retentive overanalysis of human behavior is worthless. But enough about the book. The most difficult part of this class will be working around the schedules of the five other students in your randomly assigned group, who are holding 60% of your grade in their hands. The second most difficult part will be finding a way to "analyze" your team experience by regurgitating the crap from the textbook and somehow applying it to what happened. (Hint: Make stuff up.) Good luck.

Horrible class, do not take it with this asshole. During the entire quarter he did not make one relevant connection to business and his lectures led absolutely nowhere. He kisses Shani's ass, which is the only reason he teaches here.
