Average teacher. He makes the class pretty interesting but I don't think his grading was very fair.

I really enjoyed his class. His lectures were very interesting. His class was pretty easy. His test are open-book, but they are problems so you still need to make sure that you understand the material. There is also a couple group projects: case studies and a marketing plan. I really enjoyed the marketing plan becuase he allowed the groups to decide what they wanted to do it on, not just assign a topic. Overall, I thought that he was an excellent teacher, and he really stimulated my interest in marketing.

I really enjoyed this class, I found it interesting and the two hours usually flew by. The tests/quizzes aren't that diffucult and he's a really nice guy. The group project is worth a lot, so don't get a group that sucks!

Prof. Snider made this my most enjoyable class that I have ever taken at Cal Poly. I would definately recommend this teacher to anyone.

Professor Snider is a good guy, but I don't think his grading is very fair. Be prepared for every quiz, they are a huge part of your grade. Get smart group members for the marketing plan, or else you'll have to rewrite their parts in order to even pull a C on it. He does present the material well, and usually has up-to-date information, and interesting anecdotes about the current market.

This class is super easy to get a B in but pretty hard to get an A in. He grades very hard on the papers that you turn in, and the quizzes can prove to be difficult. The midterm and final are open book open notes so they are pretty easy. You don't have to go to class which is a plus, but he tells some interesting stories from time to time. Good teacher if you want an easy B.

Any person who says he doesn't grade fair is wrong. If I actually opened either book (except for the 'open-book' portion of the exams) I would have received an almost perfect grade. Surprisingly, the weekly quizes are worth way more than you would expect. But the final project is easy, and if you address the topics from class you will get an A on the project. Cut and dry. Great anecdotes and a very spirited man. I would recommend him to anyone.

Snider is a great teacher. His class is extremely interesting, he always finds ways to break up the long lecture and it works for sure. His tests are well thought out yet if you study you can do very well. His class is a good one definetly take him!!!! Just one note... get a good group for your project otherwise you are screwed! If you do well on the quizes you will do well in the class.

Alright well I have no idea how anyone could muster the strength to stand this joker. He is the most boring, withdrawn, skanky teacher I have had. The guy is by all accounts, nuts. His quiz and test questions are strange and misleading. His projects are pointless and time-consuming. He killed any interest I may have had for the field of marketing. Oh, and he inexplicably braggs all the time about the gayest shit, and has a mustache that just screams to be let loose into a gay porn. It would be near impossible to get less than a B with this guy though, because if the class averages are low he just bumps them all up. What a guy.

This class is pretty easy B, but work a little harder for an A. You have weekly MC quizzes (the first two are open book), one short answer noncumulative midterm and final(both open book). You have one marketing plan due at the end of the quarter, you just need to work on that the last two weeks before it's due. You get to choose your group, so choose wisely because it's a pain if your group sucks. You also do a case study with your group due in the middle of the quarter some time. Make sure you do well, because it is equivalent to a midterm grade. For the case study and marketing plan, just use terms that he lectures on and are from his Killer Competitor book. Take notes during his lecture so you can use them during the open book midterm and final. Overall, he is a pretty interesting lecturer with good stories to tell and a nice professor.

I really enjoyed taking marketing with Snider. He comes very prepared with handouts which he passes out to the class. The classes and the powerpoint slides touch on all the key points of the text. There are 7 quizzes which are each worth 10 points and are mildly difficult. You get to drop your lowest score. The midterm (20 pts) and final (40 pts)are short answer tests and again cover the main key points disscussed in lecture. There is a team case (30 pts) and a marketing plan (50 pts)which you do in a group and are not too difficult. The text is written well and his lectures are faily interesting because he tells you stories from his own experiences. I would recommend 346 with Snider.

Mr. Snider is very knowledgable in the field of Product Management. His classes where fairly long, but he tried to make them fun and involved. Everything is open book and open note, so there is little stress in the class. There are also four small group papers which are easily split up and don't take too much time individually if your group choses to do it that way. I would definitely recommend this class.

Gordon Snider should be cast in 'That 70's Show'. He is a terrific teacher and this class was actually very interesting. He broke up the typical mundane lectures with group activities and videos. The class consists of two open book open note tests, two large group papers, two small group papers, and two unchallenging quizzes that a 3rd grader could get a perfect score on. You need to go to class because the notes you get from class are almost all on the exams. Snider's grading on the papers is somewhat questionable, but it all goes for not because he is one of the professors where for most papers he gives students high B's or low A's, unless of course your team writes like 3rd graders. Brand management is an interesting subject and Snider brings out all of the important aspects you would want to know. I think I speak for the whole class when I say that taking BUS 452 with Snider was definitely a worthwhile marketing elective compared to others. He's fun, energetic, and with minimal work, you will be guaranteed a B and with some real work, an A is definitely possible.

He is a great guy with a lot of experience and knowledge....the class is VERY easy....but didnt really learn a whole lot. Take it if you want an easy class, but if you want to learn and feel like you earned your grade take someone else. He is very understanding and the 'midterms' are open note and very very very easy.

Sherriff Snider is great. I just kept waiting for him to flash his badge or pull out a bottle of whiskey. I was so scared of the whole "Senior Project" thing since freshman year, but I cannot believe how easy it was and so amazingly interesting. 455 sounds like a breeze too.

Professor Snider is great! If you're a marketing concentration, TAKE THIS CLASS FOR YOUR SENIOR PROJECT! It is a great way to finish your requirements in one quarter. It's very labor intensive, but the project is outlined on a step-by-step basis each week. Snider is very realistic about time requirements, and very understanding about adapting your material to your specific client.

Don't bother working your ass off in this class because this guys' grading style is bull. You can get last place on the simulation and still get an A in the class.
