God, I love this professor. A really interesting course, no real work whatsoever, and extremely REASONABLE exams. He deserves to have a crown on his head.

Keith Patterson is legit. He only takes role on days when few attend. One midterm and a final which are NEARLY IDENTICAL to the \"practice tests\" posted on blackboard. Classes are pretty boring, all material is on the slides which are also on blackboard. An easy B as long as you don\'t blow the final like me.

This guy is fun. Alot of AGB's take it and complain that they don't know what he is testing on. Well I will tell all of you the secret to his class, go everyday. Seriously, you jear about alot of events, and actually LEARN. Somthing that I find rare on this campus.

Im only a freshman, so I haven't had a chance to be in a class Patterson teaches, but I have him as an advisor. I am intersted in the wine major, and he is definetly the one person for wine here at calpoly. he;s a great guy, very down to earth and I honestly can't wait to take one of his classes. I have only heard good things from students who take his classes.

Dr. Patterson was a great teacher. He put all of his lectures on Blackboard and it was easier to follow along in class. He also put all of his old tests on blackboard to help you study. Take him, he's a great teacher and knows a lot.

The tests are disgustingly easy, almost a joke. The material is actually quite difficult, and he could make this class and 331 way harder. Dr. Patterson does know his stuff, though. He is very approachable and willing to help students with project. I feel the Wine/Vit program would gain more respect if he would put a little rigor into the Viticulture courses. You certainly could take this class with a full load of other classes and still get at least a "B". If you really want to put in as little effort as possible, take it in the summer.

Best professor I have had at Cal Poly thus far. He doesn't give much work, or nearly any, but still manages to teach you so much in just 10 weeks or so. I have learned more just sitting in his lectures listening than all my other, work heavy, homework-every-night classes put together. If you don't receive the opportunity to take his class, you are missing out!

Go to class 'cause he takes lots of attendance quizzes. The midterm and final questions are straight from the practice ones. Lab is pretty fun, a lot of hands on wine making and vineyard management. Lots of guest speakers and FUN field trip!

Dr. Ptterson is the greatest guy ever. I've had him for FRSC 231 and 331 now and he's great. It's easy to follow his lectures and you really get to learn. I also had him for lab and I really had a good time and learned a lot of stuff. The lecture consists of 1 (or 2 midterms if the class does poorly on the first) and a final. The tests are practically identicle to the practice exams that he gives you access too. Though, try and learn the material or you really just shouldn't be in this class. Also the lab consists of a pruning test and a final. This class is really informative and a lot of fun. I'm only sorry that I'm finished with the viticulture series. Don't take this class with anyone else and if you can ever take any course with this guy, I highly reccomend it.

Patterson is one of the greatest teachers I've had at poly. He's got a great way of presenting the material and the tests are easy since he gives you previous tests and only changes a few answers. Labs are too bad either. Great guy.

Patterson\'s name is synonymous with a good time! He\'s a fun guy who knows a lot. His classes are always pretty easy but you can learn quite a bit too if you want to. I wouldn\'t mind having some more challenging labs for the sake of learning a little more and applying the knowledge, but it is nice to have a major course that is so straightforward and easy going. I don\'t know why I am bothering to write this review or anyone would bother to read it because he is pretty much the only choice for the classes that he teaches but I guess I just like the guy and figured I would let anyone curious know what they\'re in for. I always look forward to his classes!

Simply the man. Take him. You learn things in spite of the ease of his classes.

Very nice guy and actively involved with students. Problem: lab for FRSC 415 was severely lacking in lab activities/experiments and curricular integrity. Running theme in 231, 331 and unfortunately for viticulture concentration people, also in 415. If this is your minor or elective class, then you will probably be satisfied, but for people hoping to hold vineyard management positions, the viticulture series is seriously lacking content and even lab write ups. The over-simplification of topics in this three class series is pathetic in comparison to the classes offered at other universities with viticulture majors.
