This professor was terrible. Unless you already know 100% of the course material then it is a waste of time trying to learn in Zeng's class. He will just do math problems on the board at his own pace and he is really shy so the atmosphere is very awkward and he doesn't stop to clarify problems students are having. He doesn't speak very good English so it is hard to understand what he is saying

I think he did a great job in teaching math. He knows the material well, and he got the passion of teaching. He is also a really nice guy btw if you come and talk to him. English is his second language but it can't be a barrier for teaching or communicate well. You will find yourself learn a lot in the end.

I recommend taking Wei Zeng! He is a vey kind hearted man and will take extra time to explain concepts. He is very helpful in office hours.

Very confusing guy. He has a heavy accent so you can't understand him well, and it seemed like he barely understood the material himself. Definitely go to tutoring or something cause you'll need it. He isn't very straightforward about what's going to be emphasized on the quizzes. The study guides are exactly like the exams, plus a couple of weird questions he occasionally throws in that no one knows how to do. Try to get A's on the ridiculously long weekly homeworks. He also didn't enter in a single grade the entire quarter so you had absolutely no idea how you were doing in the class. Nice guy though

He's a really nice guy, just he sucks at teaching according to american standards (in my opinion). It was his first quarter teaching and you could tell he was very inexperienced. He has a really heavy Chinese accent and that makes him extremely difficult and frustrating to understand clearly. This makes all his lectures and lessons frustrating to listen to because you feel like if he didn't have an accent, you would have a much better learning experience. I would NOT take his class unless you are already a fucking expert at pre-calc algebra because you will end up teaching yourself everything either from the book or some other source since he can't teach shit. That being said, if you are stuck in this hell-hole, study his practice questions because they're really similar to the tests. That's something I wish I would've done instead of slaving my weekends away taking notes from the book, trying to teach myself. Also, another thing I would've done differently is gone to tutoring offered in the math center- and gone to his office hours. He's actually a really chill guy that'll work with you if you have to miss a quiz or get a boost for your grade. I just hated his fucking class so much and was so frustrated because I was trying so hard but still failing that I just gave up on this shit.

I took this last year during his first quarter teaching and he did a really good job. A lot of the students in my class seemed to think otherwise because of his accent, but if you pay attention during class and go to office hours if you don't understand something, you should be able to easily get an A. Professor Zeng is super nice and spends a lot of time helping students with whatever they need, whether it's clarification, moving tests, finishing homework, etc. I'm not exceptional at math or anything, but this was the easiest class I've ever taken and I got over 100% final grade because he was so accommodating and dedicated to helping his students.
