Turner, Damon  

He's a smart guy but he's not the best professor. New to teaching, so at the beginning of the quarter he was very disorganized but as the quarter went on got much better. He knows matlab very well but can't really explain how to do stuff. Some projects are unclear but I don't think he wrote those so not really his fault. A great guy though and loves to talk about industry which was very valuable. class was enjoyable, learned a lot. Midterms/finals are a cake walk but still study.

Professor Turner is one of the best teachers I've had so far at Cal Poly. Really knows his stuff and he's just an all around cool dude to talk to. He's worked at Raytheon for his entire professional career and can give you a pretty detailed explanation to just about any question you ask. Tests were very fair and all the MATLAB work was easy enough to get through. He's been using MATLAB basically since it was first released and makes the process of learning it extremely user-friendly. I'm lucky enough that I get to take Turner again next quarter for 300. If you get the opportunity to take 215 with him, I suggest you take. You won't regret it.
