David is eas to get along with and knows enough about web design to get you started on page layout or more technical aspects of HTML, JAVA, CGI, and scripting in general.

I hate to say it, but Lord is less than par. No one could ever accuse him of being a motivated teacher, or remotely helpful for that matter. If you request better performance of him, he becomes defensive and his passive-agressive offensive behavior comes out. I wonder if tenure is making him careless? It's sad to see that in our prestigious Architecture department. Bottom line: don't take him unless you like completely inactive teachers.

The man is inept, vain, passive aggresive and deeply(!) insecure. To be avoided at all costs! The lab monitors teach the course, they should get his salary. He behaves like a petulant twleve year-old if anything he says, no matter how profoundly foolish, is remotely challenged or questioned, he'll attack you viciously. humiliate you and never (and I mean NEVER) let it go! This is one fragile ego, know what you're dealing with if you're unfortunate enough to have to take a class from this self-absorbed loser. He has NO knowledge or interest in the material he's supposedly teaching. All he wants to do is duscuss his web site. Unless you completely kiss his ass, he ill take ZERO interest in anything you produce or problems/questions you may have. After discussing this hairball with many current & former students, my experience repeated itself time and time again, so it wasn't just me. I can't begin to tell you how many derogatory letters he's had written about him over the years to CAED. He's a lighting geek, he was never hired to teach a software package (that he doesan't know and isn't interested in putting fourth the time and effort to learn) or design for that matter. But he's one of the most senior people here so everyone pretends not to notice and tiptoes around him. This is one sorry excuse of a teacher; I have no respect for him as a man, as a teacher or as a human being!

Read the review below, basically I couldn't have said it better myself. Unfortunately, I was saddled with this vermin for a year. Deeply insecure, passive aggresive behaves like a petulant twleve year-old if anything he says is interptreted as less than the word of god. And once you challenge anything he says, your on the shit list FOREVER! If your a design student the last thng you want to hear your thesis instructor say to the class is "all that should be on your desk is a computer". Need I say more? You'll hear more about his website and him than you'll ever get about your project. Rarely, even in this place, have I encountered such a vein, petty, self-absorbed, self-important individual, my deepest sympathies to anyone saddled with this loser. As in the review below my experience is far from unique.

What a prick, for all the reasons listed below I waited until after I received my final grade before speaking up (see all too true reviews below) but foretold is forewarned. Read previous reviews and be afraid, be very afraid. I must be working off some bad kharma that I had this mean-spirited, vein, petty, self-important hairball for a year. God help you if your unfortunate enough to share my fate. He was my sixth choice and I don't know who must have made mad at me that I was consigned to the hell that is this studio for a year. The very first day he had a voices raised arguement with some guy who had the unmitigated gall to challenge one of his lordship's proclaimations, that same guy was abused, denegrated, and frequently humiliated all year long as a result. He was pusposely omitted from the end of the year crit poster, which coincidentally Daivid put his, not any of the student's, but his smarmy picture on. What a prick.
