Mike was a great sculpture teacher! The shop aid Dave was also amazing. He was new this quarter so didn't really know the whole lay out of the class, which I really enjoyed. He switched up some of the projects and added a lot of more creativity in them. We used wood, metal, clay, plaster, and paper mache. He allows his students to be very free with the instructions and construe them into whatever they mean to them. He also really wanted us to learn about the history of sculpture. He showed multiple powerpoints which were sometimes pretty boring but he was always so excited about it, which made it more intriguing to the students. And I'm pretty sure our grade was just determined on whether you came to class and completed the projects. So in conclusion, the class is pretty easy. I would highly recommend taking Mike he is funny and very nice. He has been one of my favorite teachers so far at cal poly!
