Poretti, Michael  

Michael is a great guy. His origin is Italian, so he has the mafia nature to help someone out, but if you do not listen to him or follow his exact order, he will hunt you down and kill you (with grades). So yeah, he is quite a bit intimidating but just do EXACTLY what he says. If he doesn't like your handwriting, you better re-learn how to write. If he doesn't like your face, drop his class. He likes little kids, so bring your younger siblings to class and you won't have a problem with him.

I learned very little about Electrical engineering from this class. Originally, I signed up to take this lab with Khutug Dorjsuren, because his ratings were so good. Then, Khutug drops out and he was replaced with this Michael guy. When I went to lab for the first time, there was a foreign student who taught the whole lab. He seemed like he knew his stuff, and I was excited Khutug was gone. Then, for the second lab, the foreign teacher was gone, and Michael was present. He said something about being at a conference, and then he sat down and started working on his thesis. We tried asking him questions, but he just wanted to talk about Video processing algorithms, the final season of Dexter, and subwoofers. Luckily, he gave us all As because he's such a nice guy.

I think I saw this guy in the Mustang Daily last March. Something about all the time he spends in the library. No wonder he's so good at EE!

I really hope he notices me. I wink at him every time he lectures. I am going to have his kids. If you are reading this, you know who I am.

Michael is a genius. He is so good at EE, he didn't even have to teach us and we learned the new material. By the end of the quarter, we had finished the material for EE 347, 348, and 449 as well. In fact, by week 4, Michael had us able to design and build our own iPhones! I had to take a point off of his ranking though, because he had us build last year's model. LAME!
