it was mostly group work, so if you end up with a good group, then you'll probably learn a lot. she did one hour lecture, and the other hour group project. if you're into that kind of class then i guess this might be the class for you. her lectures were very brief and had very common sense information on every slide. the lecture slides were not helpful for the midterm or the final. you will have to read the textbook to pass the exams. on the last day of class, students have to do professor evaluations, and she encouraged students to give her a good rating to give her an advantage for tenure, which i really didn't think she deserved. i went to every class, felt like i was learning things i already knew

Julie is great. Easy going, and earnestly seeking to make the class the best she can. Very interesting lectures, has a good handle on the material. Doesn't fill lectures with unnecessary information, she is here to help you learn and remember it! So sweet and youthful.

Dr. Rodgers is a very approachable professor. She is one of the easiest I've ever taken at Poly. If you just show her in the first few days that you are paying attention and have maybe skimmed the reading, there's no way you won't succeed. Her tests are very broad-stroked and there aren't any trick questions. She does item analysis on her tests, so if you miss one and so does a majority of students, you get that question back (because she assumes it was a teaching error). Other than the easy midterms, she assigns a group project / presentation that's super informal and a final project OR final paper. Very laid back lady. Take her if you can. Very easy A and her culture class is a lot of fun.

LOVED Dr. Rodgers. She is super sweet and the class is very interesting. The main project is the Cultural Immersion Project where you pick a culture to immerse yourself in for the quarter and then make a poster about your experience. The project was fun and I learned a lot about how to be respectful of other cultures and appreciate others. She has weekly critical thinking essays but they were credit no credit and 600 words just to show that we did the material which was online videos and a chapter out of the textbook. Her class was always fun and she made the environment welcoming. Would definitely recommend her!
