The quarter consisted of 3, 25 question multiple choice tests (25% each) and one presentation another 25%. The last 5 weeks of the class were student presentations with Hany sitting in the back. At first he seems like a chill teacher (within reason) because he also has very clear rules. For example he wants you to come to class on time other wise you are not allowed in the class. Although at first he seems like a fair teacher, after talking to many people in the class we found that graded the presentations with a huge gender bias. The prompt for the presentation was very clear and laid out what was expected. Once the presentations were delivered and the grades were returned many of the females in the class received a C or lower. On the contrary the men received at least a B or better. The class consists of many GrC, IT, Business and FSN majors - the prompt for the presentation clearly says that your presentation would be specialized based on your background however many were penalized for doing so. I received a B on my presentation and I am okay with my grade however I am not okay with my female friends receiving D's unjustly. Some of them emailed him to justify the grade and he responded in harsh condescending comments that were simply rude.
