Okay, first review for him so I'll try to make a good summary. I would guess after like 10 reviews his polyratings would come out to like 3.2-3.4 rage. He just moved here from FSU so I took the first class he taught at Poly. He has a good corporate background in HR so he is definitely qualified. The class is broken up into two midterms and a group community service or business plan project (you choose one). The midterm wasn't too difficult, but there was a lot of material covered and the questions were a bit vague and many people I know didn't do too well on it. Class is usually him lecturing for maybe 30 minutes and then breaking into your group to do an activity relevant to the chapter, so classes tended to go by pretty fast. He did mention that he's going to put some changes to the structure of the class after this quarter though. A really really nice guy though, I would definitely recommend anyone to take him.

Sikora has 20 years HR experience. It cannot be denied that this guy knows what he is talking about. Pretty easy class with two midterms and a final project. The other portion of points are made up of online quizzes (extremely easy) and participation. Sikora makes it really easy to participate in his class. I went in expecting to not pay a lot of attention and slide by with a B but found that he really makes this subject interesting (moreso than the other 387 teachers). Take Sikora!

Sikora is really nice and enjoys teaching. There are two exams, a group project, and online quizzes as well as a participation grade. Before each class you have to take easy timed quizzes online. He gives you two chances to take them so if you miss a couple questions the first time, you can go find the answers and then take it again. The project is easy and fairly managemable among a group. On the first test a lot of people underestimated how well you had to know the information from the book. They seem tricky but I found out that you just have to know the book material as it is very detailed and specific. The book is horribly boring. I made a long ass study guide for the second test and did a lot better. You take the test by yourself and then with your team. The grade is 80% individual score and 20% team score. Your team score is almost always higher. Participating is super easy because he asks very simple questions. If you speak once or twice a class you will do well! Take Sikora! His classes can be really fun sometimes.

Everyone down below pretty much sums things up. He's a great teacher. Another thing to know when you take him is that he pulls test questions from the textbook's website which has quizzes for each chapter!

The best business class I've had at Poly. The subject matter really is nothing beyond common sense, so you don't walk out of the class learning about too many things you didn't know already. Sikora was extremely easy to have as a professor, not a demanding class at all. Talk at least once per class for participation and study up definitions of terms for the tests

Sikora is a great instructor! He has years of management and HR experience and has many stories to tell. The class is not very difficult, like many have mentioned it's a lot of common sense. The class consisted of 50-60% group activities, where you join a group of 5 others and work on various textbook activities. And 50-40% lecture. The group activities are pretty funny. Quizzes are essentially free grades, quickly read through the chapter assisgned, and start the quiz. It is a timed online quiz but you have enough time to skim through the book while you are taking the quiz. Midterms are fairly easy. They are divided a solo mid-term and a group one. You first take the solo one, and then take the exact same exam with your group again. The group grade is always higher with an average of 90ish%. The solo scores range about 75-90%. Participation is always free grades. You just need contribute to lecture when he asks questions. Do this at least once or twice every lecture and you will get full participation points. The last portion of the class is the final group project. It changes from quarter to quarter. We had manager the interviews/research paper project this quarter. Overall great class with lots of group work. You could probably get away with doing it all with GoogleDocs like my group has.

Guy's a goober. But he means well and if you study for tests and participate in class (I mean actually participate, not just show up) you can at least get a B in his class with little effort.

Very understanding professor, he was willing to listen to group problems and either give suggestions or take into account that you had problematic group members when giving group grades. The material is pretty easy and straight-forward but the test were harder and more focused on concepts which were very subjective although there is only one right answer. Participation is easy points!! He's great at encouraging participation and his questions are easy so take advantage, since it can make or break your grade.
