Wiens, Jennie  

Wiens is a great teacher but a very tough grader. There isn't much homework in this class besides the essays, just a few pages of reading a night in the beginning of the quarter and almost none at the end. Do the reading because she gives pop quizzes. There were 3 during the quarter I took her. She makes what she wants on the essays very clear and is very helpful in office hours. She grades very hard though and refuses to give a straight A. I spent tons of hours writing essays and only got A-'s and ended up with an A- in the class. She let's you do as many revisions as you want but she is not an easy A and I don't think it's even possible to get higher than an A- in the class but on the plus side I can't tell you how much my writing skills improved. If you work hard you will become a better writer.

I hate English but this class Isn't bad, she will let you keep re-writing essays so there's no reason not to get the grade you want in this class
