Wolf, Marianne  

this teacher is spacey, self-rightous, and appears like she's drunk half of the time. She is also unwilling to support her students, and gives ridiculous assignments that require on average of around $20 to complete. Her class is bs, she's stupid, and she thinks she's a saint. TRY TO AVOID

This is a professor who has knowledge about the marketing and wine industry because she has been involved for years. I took this for branded wine marketing and actually really enjoyed the course. There are a lot of projects and assigned with only about a weeks time to complete them, but doesn't grade too hard and likes any ideas that are creative. There is only a midterm and final which is kind of nice. She is supportive towards her students but is a little crazy at times but that is what makes the class entertaining. Her thoughts are kind of all over the place, but I found it to be humorous. I am taking her again for 405 so I liked her. I would recommend!

You have to work so hard to get an A in this class. I'm guessing she gives out a LOT of B's. You work on a program SPSS which she can go super fast on whether you get it or not. (Make sure you do get it because this is all you do). Since she has been teaching at Poly for so long, she thinks everyone gets it. You can not miss a class or you will be very behind. She has a great attidude and very funny.

There is no doubt that Dr. Wolf is smart, the problem is in her translation of that into teaching. She is ALL over the place and sporadic. She puts you into groups for the entire quarter and your grade is based on 4-5 projects, labs, and quizzes. I advise you to get close with your group members and divide the work up for every project. Don’t get too caught up w/ perfection on the first few projects b/c she grades REALLY easy. Be warned you have to print and bind every project which gets expensive. She is fair though, and will listen to complaints about group members or grade errors.

Dr. Wolf is a great teacher. She gives students the freedom to really learn what the real world is like and what it is like to have a client whom which you work for. She is really great at giving feed back and very easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend her for AGB 406.

Marianne Wolf is not a teacher and has no business teaching. She likes to hear herself talk. She is probably the most unfair professor I have ever taken a class from and talk about Sexist! I will never take another class taught by her. Avoid her if you can and men good luck! It's all group work too so you better get in a good group.
