Humphrey is nice and has the potential to be a great teacher, but he teaches way over our head and his test questions are weird! Half the time I did not know what he was asking. He taught this class with Noland and they did not seem to communicate at all, I was always lost as to what was/was not important. I would take him again for an upper division class later, but he needs to dumb it down for a 100 level class.

Aside from slight vagueness from time to time, Humphrey is a great instructor. He has a sense of humor and is able to present material in a logical manner. Animal science 112 was great with him and Noland simply because they took their students into consideration. If a ton of students missed a certain question on a test, they scrapped it. They also placed a very considerate curve on the final exam. Overall Humphrey is a good instructor.

It is a lot of material to cover and he does not give a daily assignment. So you need to cover it on your own. But if you go everyday and review your slides and book you should be fine with midterms and exams. He is laid back. There is weekly quizzes but they are easy.

Dr. Humphrey was an excellent teacher. He was very informative and made class really interesting. He really made the students think and participate. The midterms for this class were not too hard, just study the power points and understand the concepts presented in the lectures. If there was ever a problem with a question on the midterm, he and Dr, Noland would throw out the question and add the extra points back to the midterm grade. Although the class was a bit disorganized at times,(due to the fact that there were two professors switching off every other class), I still learned a lot and in a way was able to benefit from having two different teachers lecturing on what they know best. The class was not too hard, I found it to be a lot of fun. I would highly recommend taking the class with Dr. Humphrey during the fall quarter.

I\'m not sure if it is the instructor or the course, but for the short 10 week period this class shoves as much information on cows reproductive tracks that I have ever known. Brooke is a nice teacher but when it comes to tests its a huge mystery . This teacher needs to be more specific in saying what is on the test, because making kids memorize digestive tracts of 10 animals is absurd. I really think Brooke should narrow down what is important and not important.

The material taught in 440 gives a good introduction to the subject without going into all the crazy details the book goes into. He asks lots of questions during the class, so it is good to review your notes before class. Sometimes the questions on the exams can be confusing because of the wording, but if you ask him he will clarify.

I\'ve had a few classes with Humphrey, and was totally fine with him as a professor, until he became my senior project advisor. WARNING: NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE MAKE HIM YOUR SENIOR PROJECT ADVISOR. He really doesn\'t seem to care about your project; he just kind of off-hands it whenever you talk to him about it. He never has time for you, does not give you clear instructions on what he wants from you, and does not respond in anywhere near a timely manner. It\'s always, \"oh hey, ya I\'m out of town for the next week for a conference\" or \"oh ya I won\'t be available all next week\". Sure, I understand professors are busy people, but senior project is of the utmost importance for a senior, so if you don\'t have the time to actually be what is defined as an advisor, don\'t accept the responsibility. And, in the end, when I have to go to him to give me a final grade in the class so I can get my friggin diploma, he\'s a complete expletive and says that it was nothing like he wanted and not of as high quality as he expected. Well, I just followed the little direction you gave me so suck it. What a terrible way to finish my time at cal poly. Thanks for the nightmare, humphrey.

During this entire quarter all I could think about was how this professor reminded me of that small little dog that runs through the back of scene 23 in The Incredibles by Pixar. Seriously, if you look it up you will only be able to see it...
