Greg is a nice guy who genuinely wants you to do well, but his lack of organization gets in the way. Homework is fairly easy; he gives you example problems from the book but has you change the numbers--his argument being that the point is to learn, which was much appreciated. Tests are little more difficult only because you run out of time unless you're working full speed the whole time. He gives plenty of extra credit opportunity. He's a good teacher when he finally starts working some problems on the board, but I don't know how well prepared you will be for your next ARCE class after his.

Greg is a good guy who actually cares how his students do. He made sure everyone was on the same page and let us know what would be on the midterms and final. There are weekly quizes which is nice because he does not collect homework. The midterms are closely related to these quizes. Sometimes he got caught up on a problem or two that he didn't know how to solve but he would take it back to his office and bring the correct work in the next class. Overall this class was easier than I expected but I also took it during summer... we will see how well I am prepared for ARCE 212.
