Camille is an awesome person. She has a general interest in the material she presents, which makes her classes fun. This class s pretty straight forward. I haven;t done so hot lately, but as long as you study and pay attention in class you'll do fine. Her tests are mainly short answer questions that actually require you to think practically. 300 points total for the class, 75 per each test (there are 3 of them), 50 points for a research paper, and 25 points for a group presentation.

Great lady, very funny, easy A class, powerpoint lectures everyday that are boring but bareable, tests are exactly the handouts (attendance quizzes), she takes attendacnce by having you fill out these handouts that are just worksheets from anwers in the book, you need the book but you dont have to read becuase the poweroint are exactly the book, she is pretty entertaining, the final is a powerpoint presentation you have to do on why you are a kines major, really easy. TAKE HER!

the quizzes are really easy as she lets you use all notes, books, and partners for the last half of the quizzes. there are no tests, just 2 reflection papers about a given subject and one final essay on a topic of your choice related to sports and gender. But this is why the class sucks, i get perfect scores on my quizzes, and A's on my reflection papers, but i turn in my final essay and i get a B in the calss. this is because she is SO ANAL about format , citations, etc. if you dont have correct in-text citations, no headings, and heaven forbid you dont have the correct margins, you will get marked down big time. so basically it doesnt mastter what you right about, as long as its formatted correctly you will be fine. so bassically just BS all the papers and make sure you read up on how to do a proper reference page.

Chill class. No worries. I liked how we got to go back to our H.S. days and make a project displaying what we learned in the class for the final. It was a class that reiterated alot to me. The V-day video was crazy! Easy A.

KINE 323 is a pretty easy class that satisfies both D5 and USCP. There are two exams, a power point presentation, 3 attendance quizzes, 3 reflections, and a final project. The attendance quizzes are pretty easy because she lets you use your notes and ask people. She cares about formatting a lot for the reflections so you can basically write anything you want but format it correctly.

Anyone with conservative or even moderate proclivities will probably not like KINE 323 (at least as taught by this instructor): LGBT rights and issues--particularly as they pertain to sports and discrimination--was pretty much the sole focus of class. I would go so far as to say the class\'s larger focus was to prove the normalness of homosexuality; I didn\'t learn enough about gender and sports, in general. Dr. Bryant is affable and friendly, though, and invites the class to present chapters and other topics. She also assigns a few reports, group presentations, and group papers, etc. She also provides guest speakers, like a male professional she knew who spoke about his own body dysmorphia.

She is amazing! I'm sure this is less stressful USCP course! She gives you the study guide for one test and a final (not comprehensive). One student presentation and two papers. Super fun to do them! For the papers, she gives you helpful advises how to write them. Lots of extra credit opportunities! I got a B because I didn't do any extra credits and didn't had time to study for the test. Take her! =]

She is really funny and really nice! Her class is kind of boring and repetitive but SUPER EASY! There is one midterm and a final. She has group presentations throughout the entire quarter and it gets pretty boring but her test questions come directly off those powerpoints created by the students. Her tests are long and seem really difficult but if you just put your opinion and complete the question you will do well. She also gives A TON of extra credit which helped me go from a B to an A. If you want an easy class to fulfill your D5 or UCSP you should take this class!

She is really nice, but if you've taken any gender studies or ethnic studies classes here, it's likely to be a lot of the same material. I took ES 112 my freshman year and still remembered a lot of the stuff I learned, so this class was basically a review of that class. It's interesting material as long as you're like yay gay! Tests come from powerpoints and student presentations mostly. Just skim the readings and pick a few to know key points and authors from for the tests. She also cares a lot about formatting on the papers, but all the readings are cited at the end of the syllabus, so look there when you're writing the papers. Overall, not a bad class. She's definitely enthusiastic about what she teaches.

O'Bryant lovvvess what she does. I had the class at 8 am in the morning and she was already bouncing off the walls in the morning. She has two essays you have to write and she doesn't seem to mind much what is in the essays, she is very picky about grammar and how you cite your sources. If you do not know what APA format is, LEARN IT FAST - dont overlook the margins or even indents or you will be docked. The tests are based on student presentations on the readings so you dont really have to read all of the readings, just skim. She gives amazzzing study guides- KNOW THE AUTHORS AND YEAR of the articles and who said what or else you will mess up on the midterm / final. GO TO CLASS - she puts up the slides so you feel like you dont have to but she gives extra credit attendance that can seriously raise you half a grade or more. I could have done the class without buying the books - unless the presentation you had to do was based on the readings.

This class was so unusual because it involved so much discussion and opinion. Participation is not necessarily required but opening yourself up to new ideas and concepts regarding sports and gender is the basis to getting anything out of the class. Dr. O'Bryant is an awesome teacher who is willing to listen to students' thoughts and suggestions. There are many videos and presentations which make up the majority of the test content. Presentations are not a big deal but remember to dress casual/semi-formal as if you are going to dinner with family who you do not see often. Tests are tons of pages and alot of writing (free response questions specifically regarding certain readings/presentations/videos). The biggest deal for me was finishing on time but know your stuff decently well and you will be fine. Highly recommend taking this teacher and the class not just for the good grade but also the intriguing content.

A very provocative class that you will want to show up for. The most worthwhile, useful G.E. class I have taken in three years of college study.

The class is taught soley from power point presentations. This can make things hard, because it is hard to figure out what you should write in your notes because there's always a lot of info on the slides. You are required to do a 10 minute presentation about a topic in the book that includes a power point towards the end of the quarter. There are also 3 papers throughout the course of the quarter. One midterm and the final. Class can be a little boring, but Dr.O'Bryant tries to spice things up with group discussions. If you're going to take this class be ready to learn the proper format for citing sources in your papers.

Professor O'Bryant is a very charismatic, fun professor. She presents topics very clearly as well as her expectations for the class. She grades fairly but is a stickler for format. If you have any trouble in her classes she is more than willing to help you during office hours. There are a couple of papers, a 10 min presentation, midterm, and final. If you pay attention in class, its pretty easy to get an A. I would recommend taking her for any class, especially aquatics!
