He is a cool guy, retired, and knows a lot about geology. I find the class interesting, but not everyone does. No homework, a few tests of moderate difficulty. Grading seems like it will be pretty fair. He gives us a packet of notes, which is nice. He lectures from powerpoint. His only flaw, in my opinion, is that his notes/lectures/tests can be slightly unclear at times. He definetly seems to be the professor to take for this class.

Cool guy. Reminds me of a grandpa that tells awesome stories. Doesn't care if you show up to class or not. 2 quizzes, 1 mt, 1 final. Really passionate about earthquakes. No textbook either. Really easy class if you take notes and review. He even gave me a couple answers on the final when there was only 5-6 people left. I had an A going into the final but just didnt study for the midterm and bombed it.

What the guy/gal below said. Amen. I too took this class and have long since graduated from Poly, but I was cruising Poly Ratings for a kick and thought that I should pipe in and let you know how much of a joke this prof is.
