The proffesor is very boring at times, but so is tax. Her tests are fair but tend to ask picky questions. The tests are not hard and if you understand the major concepts you will do well. Hw is graded based on whether or not you complete it or not. Its basically free points. The class is not hard to get a good grade in but the proffesor isnt great. She does have a lot of experience in tax, but doesnt always communicate well with the class.

This teacher has an obvious bias for people who are not business majors. I was accused of cheating tests received mysteriously lower grades on homeworks, and never received email updates. I am ok with the C that I got, but the professor seemed uninformed and even ignorant when confronted with certain issues. Oh and by the way, the answers on the test of which I was accused of cheating, were WRONG ANSWERS! How could I cheat and get wrong answers and be questioned? Think twice before taking this class.

Hilda's test's are very fair, she practicly tells you before hand what will and will not be on them. She does this, not to be easy, but because tax has soooo many concepts and there are exceptions to every rule, she helps you out a little bit by narrowing the field on what the test will cover. She owns her own practice, and knows what she is talking about. She also knows which concepts are hard for students to understand and emphasizes those. She is very enthusiastic, and makes a boring topic not so boring. I would recommend her!

Overall Professor rating: F. This teacher sucks. Ever felt like there was too much homework for how in depth the teacher went in class? Or thought there was too much info covered on the midterms? Take this professor if you haven't. Once again, she gets an F.

This class makes you hate tax. Or maybe I just hate tax. All I know is, before I felt nothing about tax and now I feel distaste. Hilda is a very warm personality, but she has definitely got her own agenda. She encourages email, but I don't know that she is ever on campus really. This class was so hard and contained so much detail, and yeah "that is the nature of tax" but the professor doesn't really do anything to alleviate the situation. She is very book-oriented and this class is difficult.

She has a lot of experience, but is not able to translate them into her lectures. There are too much homework, and too much busy work. The projects are horrible, it makes you hate tax for the rest of your life. She tries to help, but I think she's bias. She favors some students and diss others. He midterms are hard, they're so long. There so much shit in it, you can't possiblity learn all that in 10 weeks. If you think you could get on the good side, you'll be fine, otherwise....think twice about taking this instructor.

Hilda is a really nice lady and knows a lot about tax, but she cannot teach it to her students. The book was boring, which didn't help, and she always talked about herself (but I guess that is because she just got in to Harvard). I just got sick of hearing about it. The tests and quizzes were hard, but not impossible. You must know EVERY detail, whether she talks about it in class or not. Flash cards are elementary, but VERY helpful for this class!
